Just got the game.(posted picture in other thread) Had to get the PS4 Jackie Robinson version with the PS5 upgrade as I couldn't just get a PS5 version. Will post impressions shortly.

playing install game.

pin point pitching is worth the price of admission alone. Its so hard in a glorious kind of way. Walks should actually happen now. I've thrown so many wild pitches lol

The big softball when hitting from pitcher view is gone. Something that's bugged me for years

I think he has the PS4 version, so no creator.

it's the ps4 version with a ps5 upgrade code. I redeemed the code but can't figure out how to upgrade lol

intro is super cool. I won't ruin it, let's just say I love me some Onyx.

Are the default rosters somewhat balanced this year or are they a mess again?

definitely can't get the ps5 version. I accidentally bought the digital version trying to figure it out and not sure how to go about getting a refund lmao. whoops

PS4 version on PS5 is super smooth on sharper like 20.

Games never looked better I may consider playing the ps4 version instead if the SOTS thing is indeed true.

New overlays on replays are nice.

I like the drift fielding option. Havent seen much difference in the way ratings are incorporated into it yet but it looks promising.

Pin point pitching adds so much life for me. its no secret this series was getting stale for me. Its tough to get used to and I really need to do the tutorial.

There is a learn to play section with options explorer. It lets you try all the different ways to play then save them as you are trying. Its a great idea.

Just started up a franchise and am going to play full game. I'll be back.

I think its important to note that i only played 20 about a month. Some of my impressions may not be new. If you played a lot of 20 you might have a very different perspective. I get the game early every year and last year I had very different impression and wasn't all that kind. So here is a bit more of a comprehensive very early impression so far after 3 full games.

- Managers look terrific. Montoya actually looks like him and every other one ive seen so far is excellent.

-only experienced 1 glitch. The splatter graphic on the compression sleeve pops in and out all the time and breaks immersion. Unfortunately everyone with a compression sleeve seems to wear that one.

-Heidi Whatney and commentating have past their expiration date a while ago IMO.

- Drift fielding adds a nice component to add some intrigue with fielding. Big fan of this

- I play zone analog with stride and I found it a lot harder then in the past to hit and get good contact. I struck out 16 times game 1. That may sound bad but its a good thing. I'm rusty

-Pin point pitching is amazing. For the first time ever, pitching is my favorite part of a baseball game. I actually walk people.

- lots of great presentation moments. Garrett Cole got squeezed and you could read his lips asking the ump. "it was low? it was a ball?" then nodding and being frustrated.

-Some nice panoramic camera cuts.

-lots of new equipment.

-HDR off and on dont look much different to me but in all fairness I have a 4k HDR projector and its harder to tell on most games.

-Im sensitive to framerates and I haven't even seen a hiccup on sharper during gameplay. The odd bit of very minor chops in a player overlay scene.

All I can think of now.

I'm loving this game so far. It does enough new that its not same ol' like i felt last year and what it does that isn't new is tuned better than ever.

played 4 more games.

-bat sounds are pretty lame. Every hit sounds so weak.

-at the end of games there is a pretty cool highlight reel that plays.

-Pitcher AI has been pretty good so far. Had a variation of relievers and the cpu leaves starters out for appropriate lengths. Cole had 100 pc.

-Got pin point pitching figured out. It's so rewarding. Its real hard though. I have a strong suspicion its going to go over like the aim mechanic in 2k. I bet a lot of people hate it. I personally think its the greatest mechanic they've added in a long time. I hope SDS sticks with it.

I can't say enough how much I'm enjoying this game.

Playing on 65” Samsung QLED...game is beautiful.

Digital copy....definitely no roster import.
