Re: UFC Undisputed 3 Video - Cain Velasquez vs. Junior Dos Santos
Some more answers here:
Sim Stamina in online - this is a setting on the match options screen, just like the amount of rounds in the fight, and weight class. You can turn on sim stamina for any type of match.
How is the clinch balanced for UFC 3 - We did a couple things here. You can now strike your way out of the clinch if your opponent is just trying to hold you. There is a damage threshold, so after your opponent hits that threshold the clinch is released. When you separate from the clinch there is now a greater distance between you and your opponent so they can't instantly clinch back up. And when you transition of the cage, it turns you 45 degrees so your back is not to the wall, giving you an opportunity to transition, go for the takedown, or break the clinch.
Can my opponent transition block me the entire time I'm in his guard? Negative. If your opponent hugs the stick he will only block a few transitions. This forces them to either work on their own transitions or attack with strikes or a sub. This is based mostly on user input, but ratings and stamina can come into play.
Is the cut system toned down? Cuts look better this year, and basically happen with the same frequency this year. It's very rare to see doctor stoppages, and I haven't heard anyone complain about seeing these too often before. Is this something you see all the time?
Will the CAF system be balanced and less likely to be abused? Yes. We've done some focus tests on this and have not had any issues. The only thing we can't be sure on is people hacking the profiles like they did in 2010. This is something only Microsoft can prevent, and they are constantly looking for ways to improve in this area. Hopefully it will not be an issue this year.
Can the power hand straight rock or KO an opponent? In previous versions you could rock and KO opponents with jabs and crosses, but this will not be the case in UFC 3. For balancing reasons we've made the quick strikes more effective for setting up combos, but have made it so these strikes can't rock or KO an opponent so they won't be abused. Since they interrupt strong strikes, if they could produce a KO, you'd just see people spamming weak strikes and the strong strikes would become useless.
Will there ever be sliders? We are focused on UFC 3 right now. It's not outside of the realm of possibility that these will be seen in the future, but there is no talk of this at this time.
Is there a replay system and a way to upload highlights? Can't comment on this at this time.
