Re: UFC 178 - Jones v. Gus 2, McGregor v. Poirier - September 27

I'm intrigued man. How bad is his knee? I would hate for this to come down to "DC would have won if not for......." kinda deals.

I am gonna go ahead and assume he is "fine enough" to give it a good shot. The matchup definitely interests me quite a bit. Jones is a tough puzzle to solve but so is DC, maybe even tougher. The dude can pick up and slam anybody he wants to, so far at least.

This is awesome.
Damn, seriously?

I'm equally as hyped for a DC/Jones match as a Gus/Jones match.

I understand you take your shot when you can but that lack of knee surgery sort of takes my excitement level down a bit. I would definitely love to see Gus or DC relatively healthy but again I understand that you take your shot when you can. It's just the way the fight business is.

Yeah - these are two of my favorites. Plus, the build-up is going to be so much more entertaining than Jones/Gus two would've been.

Re: UFC 178 - Jones v. Cormier, McGregor v. Poirier - September 27

Gus/Jones 2 was my most anticipated fight of the year, so I'm a little disappointed.. I've been looking forward to their rematch since their first fight, which honestly I thought that Gus deserved an immediate rematch.

Plus, Gus's style is much more exciting that DC's. Hopefully, DC wins, but even if he does I don't think that overall fight won't come close to the excitement in the Bones/Gus fight. With that said, I'm still pumped.... I've been wanting to see these two go at it for awhile.... I'm just not as pumped.

The leadup to the DC/Jones fight will be better but I dont think the actual fight will be better than Gus/Jones 2.

I'm disappointed because I'm going to the fight and thought Gus had a better shot at winning the belt and I've never seen a title change live. Most of my friends are more excited about DC because they've watched him fight more than Gus.

I don't believe in DC like the rest. He has a chance, but I really see this eventually looking like another typical Jones title defense.

He wull be too distraced to do that because he has to keep himself from losing an eye while Jones sticks his fingers out. Cormier should be able to wear James Worthy goggles in the cage for this fight.

Yeah, eye pokes and knee kicks

Hope DC has a gameplan for that.
