Been waiting for an endgame-quality Klay all year long. This one doesn't disappoint. Compared to last year's Diamond Playoffs Klay, he's a tick or two better in a few categories, but three relative improvements stand out:

1) He now has a high-level Post Fade rating, at 93.
2) He now comes with speed-boosting BC, at 86.
3) He now can potentially block shots, with 74 Block.

Also, he now has even more badges than he had last year.

Really nice option for those who want a 3-and-D type SG, and not necessarily one who will create off the dribble. The elite 3-point ratings that this Klay has are not necessarily a big deal, but to get these ratings along with his relatively quick and super-smooth shot animation is the big deal. I, like many other people, shoot really well with Klay, even with lower shooting ratings.

Probably not saying all that much, but I'd much rather have this Klay than Diamond Ray Allen. Even putting aside the consensus "upgrade" in shot animation, I'd rather get Klay's elite defense and stronger post option, than Ray Allen's athleticism, dunking, and off-the-dribble HoF Difficult Shots

And peep Klay's Tendencies, particularly the defensive ones:
  • 88 On-Ball Steal
  • 100 Pass Interception
  • 74 Contest Shot
  • 52 Block Shot
  • 72 Take Charge
  • 5 Foul
  • 5 Hard Foul

There is no comparison between Klay and Ray. Klay can clamp down on the other end, and has one of the best release in the game. Ray's shot has always been trash in this game despite high ratings.

I think Ray's release is just fine. I'm shooting over 50% with him.

I quite like how athletic he is, and also his dunking. It's nice to have such an elite shooting threat who can be really explosive against a closeout, to drive for a dunk.

And remember that this Ray has all outside shooting badges at HoF. If you can learn to time his shot - best to shoot without meter - he's a big time sniper.

And pretty decent on D. I just think I probably weight Klay's elite D very highly.

The thing with Ray's shot is that the release isn't the issue. It doesn't have a hitch like some other shot releases, you can get the bar close to green most of the time, but it's harder to green than most shots. If it's not green, it seems like the shot have a harder time falling in because of the line drive arc of his shot. He definitely does not shoot like his ratings suggest. But with 99 3's and all the HOF shooting badges, he's still a great shooter, but definitely not like Diamond Klay or Steph.

Everyone has their own experiences, ultimately. I shoot really well with Ray Allen. But I understand that a lot of people don't and that drives down his value on the market.

I also agree that Klay's stroke is super-easy/smooth.
