Love that! Fair warning, I was running into some glitches with the boom or bust progression system. Wasn’t draft class related, was 2k glitch related. So hopefully you don’t run into those. Would randomly tank guys potential from 99 to 81, or 88 to 73. It was pretty annoying.

You’ll have to let me know where you’re picking and who you’re targeting.

Started a league with the woeful Detroit pistons. Had the worst record in the league, traded away Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin for some 2022 picks (excited for that class) and chalked this season up as a lost one.

Going into the draft and off-season I knew I needed scoring and playmaking. My two biggest targets were Braylon Tate and Zyheir Moss. Seemed like every sports outlet in the world knew these two were the most coveted prospects in the draft because they were 1-2 on everyone’s mock draft list.

Onto the lottery and it looks like I’m gonna get a top 3 pick. That is, until we fall to #5. At that point my entire game plan has to change and I start scouting the deep SG class for scorers who would be there at 5.

Quintevin Cherry out of Mississippi and Ladreyous Jones were my two choices. Both have excellent offensive abilities, but Cherry can create his own shot off the bounce. I wanted him.

The lottery looked like this ..

2. Spurs - Ja’Ron Becker
3. Wizards (via NY. Traded John wall and a 2022 pick for this spot) - Zyheir Moss
4. Hornets - Kenny Maynor
5. Pistons - Quintevin Cherry
6. Pacers - Bakari Jackson
7. Wizards - Ladreyous Jones
8. Jazz - Darius Van Gundy
9. Suns - Shemari Jones III
10. Kings- Dalvin Tucker
11. Thunder - Brooks Buechler
12. Blazers - Jaxon Bosh
13. Nuggets - Paxton Smith
14. Hawks - Junior Higgins

Just as JB did on his post, I'm providing a list of class 1 and their potentials so you can edit those after each year. The boom or bust progression system has been awful and will randomly tank guys potential after each year for whatever reason. Until there is a patch for this, my plan is to edit the potential of each player back to where it should be.

As JB mentioned on his post, listing the potential isn't really a spoiler since the main thing that determines how the player should progress in my classes are the peak Start/Peak end dates.

Classic 2k making our lives difficult. Oh well. I will keep the classes coming!

Man I love that! Love the trade at 3 for someone to go snag Moss. I’m a big fan of Cherry but I have no idea how you could pass Jones up at 5. Luckily you got them both. That should be a nice 1-2 punch. My favorite pick is Junior to the hawks. In a lot of my testing he always went there and it’s fun to imagine him and Trae Young as the new splash bros. Walton fell quite a bit, similar to Bol Bol this year. Gave the spurs a nice draft for sure.

Did you make sure and sign all the 2nd rounders? There’s a couple guys that develop nicely if they spend a year or two on a team.

Start of 2022 Season

McDonalds All-American Game

The West All Stars knocked off the East All Stars 112-106. Simon “Cookie” Hopkins was named the game’s MVP after he showed off his ability to get to the hole and steal the ball.

Giovanni Gamble looks more than ready to put on a show this season at Duke.

Both Iowa State commits, Terell Knox and Patrick McCloud, came off the bench for the East team and put on a show behind the 3 point line. They combined for 9 3-pointers on just 12 shots. This could be a preview of what's to come for the Cyclones.
