I’ll be looking for your movement thread.:-)
Yea, that's usually the case with the default sliders because Drive/Inside Contact Shot Frequency at 50 almost always means the animations rarely ever trigger. I'm foolishly optimistic that a handful of tweaks will vastly improve the game, and we won't need to chase band-aids for game breaking issues all year.

That's assuming it's possible for the AI to get to the free throw line this year, which is something I really didn't see at all in any gameplay videos. BUT with those Contact Shot Frequency sliders so low I guess it makes sense that foul animations aren't triggering.

Watching these videos, it looks like they may need to widen that cone just a little, because you have to go out of your way for the defender to actually cut you off. So day-1 I'll be boosting the sliders for Body-Up Sensitivity, AI Lateral Quickness, and probably AI On Ball Defense as well so that they react more quickly to dribble moves and are more likely to at least trigger a hip-ride animation instead of a full on blow-by.
Just to be clear, boosting the body up sensitivity slider does what? I assume it makes brick walls more effective, i.e any contact slows you down more?

It basically widens the cone that triggers hip-ride and brick wall animations, making blow-by’s (or lack of any contact animation) less likely to occur.

Thanks. I have a feeling I’m gonna be putting that to 100 this year. Hopefully not. I REALLY don’t want to go back to 2K21 easy drives. Especially being at the mercy of one shadow patch nerfing all the help defense they advertise and boast about at launch.

On ball defense is just right on my 2K22. I promised I’d purchase 2K23 to support 2K’s efforts with focusing on Jordan and Era’s, which are incredible. But if it’s too easy to score 100 points simply by spamming slashers to the rim then I’ll goof around with eras here and there but will go back to 2K22 for gameplay. I just remember 2K21 being so easy to drive that I had to make house rules to hold myself back with MJ. While in 2K22 with CPU defense sliders all the way up, I have a tough time scoring and it’s enjoyably challenging.

Is it weird that full court heaves no longer hitting the rim EVERYTIME is like a huge fix to me? No clue why I like that so much.

I’m pretty sure they had that fix in last year too. I saw a bunch of wild misses

This is the best gameplay I've seen of 23, now I really want to play the damn thing.
