I played this afternoon and 2K servers was better.
I played 3 games.
It's not perfect and never will be, but playable like was before third patch.
I sent a twitter to ld2k, roonie2k and 2Ksupport and i think they listened to me.

IMO it wasn't playable before the patch; I hoped the patch would fix it.

I'm on PS4. I have been experiencing lag since the 1st patch. Some games are ok, others are unplayable. I've suffered several losses because I would just give up. It's too hard to compensate for the lag. Why is it that when I play 2k I have to deal with all this lag, but I can jump on Madden without any issues and not have any lag. WTF? I can't believe I just read Erv Gotti telling us to back off of 2k. I don't even wanna play this crap offline.

This is just one example of animations. I have seen other animations that does the same thing like blocking or rebound animations where the player seem to go through this ritual animations and can't be broken until it is finished.

These animations are no difference than the animations of long football passes where a player caught the ball down the court and proceeded to tip toe as if they're almost running out of bound. Why did the game trigger these type of animations where it can't be broken at any time? I gather that they're being put in there to prevent exploitation or cheating or to balance the game play. But wait a minute, these type of animations are not often part of the real life basketball game. If i have a player inbound the ball and did a long pass in real NBA game, do you think the ball magically fly over head every single time?? Think about it! Well, it's in this game and if they call it a SIM game, then it ain't SIM if it doesn't happen in real life NBA game.

In response to your Shigeru Miyamoto's comment, my point is regarding control responsiveness, not the difference in genre of the games. I would think he hate playing this game because of the button responsiveness....where as the games he created, the responsiveness has always been excellent. If he have any input in this game, i would think he would say things like...ah...i want to see ALL ANIMATIONS of the game to be able to be broken by the user (this will allow total control responsiveness and fun). I don't want to see any trigger happy animations for the sake of realism unless that animations can be broken at any time.

Now i am not saying all animations in this game is bad. In fact, the shooting animations is excellent because it allows you to break it at any time. But other animations, you can't do it.
I would like to give that guy the same advice I would give the 2k developers...Get off yo *** and go play basketball forreal. That way you would know how the game should FEEL. It's a difference between watching someone play the game, and actually playing the game yourself. The comment about someone not being able to reach without the guy with the ball blowing by them is evidence that you my friend, don't play ball.

Re: Input lag in Online games is now supermegaultra INTENSE, horribly

i have been playing nba on the xbox but mostly only mycareer so everything has been going fine.

today i decided to play a myteam game online just to see how the mode was. Dear god I had no idea what I was in for. I literally could not play the game it was so broken. I would move the joystick in a direction and there is a (non-exagerated) 2 second input lag. 2 whole seconds before the player recognizes the input and does something. I play a lot, im not good, but I play on HOF and got to the first seed in 2k13 with relative ease. I just got blown out by 30 by an all bronze team because it is impossible to play defense or stay in front of anybody.

Im not one who likes to blame the game or lag for losses, but this was next level. Are other people experiencing this? I mean holy **** is this what every online game is like? The game is just a 60$ mycareer if so.

Yup, still going strong and still no 2k response on a game breaking issue.
