Re: Long 2

I have issues with this too. There are times ill have the defence collapse and kick it out to a shooter who has his feet set already...and for some reason they move their foot up to the line and have it be a long two. that has to be fixed.

There's a difference between mid-range and long twos. Being good in the 15-18 ft range is a deadly weapon, but taking a shot from 24.8 feet is asinine. You could take a deep breath and get one more point on the board. I think they need to come up with a boundary for stationary threes like they have for out of bounds. How you run up against the sideline and it doesn't let you just step out, if your player is spotting up at behind the arc, pressing the shot button should automatically keep them off the line.

Re: Long 2

I agree 110% with you when you. The game is ridiculous in terms of the "foot on the line" bs.

Re: Long 2

I have noticed this.... but i think it has something to do with offensive awareness and shot iq...... good shooters ussualy are behind the line.... others are 75/25.....makes the game more interesting IMO....

Re: Long 2

the issue is for those of us who like taking 3's, its so frustrating for the guy to be standing on or inside the 3 pt line so much especially when thats his role on the team. and its not like you can just slightly move the stick to take a single step back cuz the crazy momentum in 2K just wont allow it lol.

Re: Long 2

I don't know what they did but they need to fix this ASAP. Corner 3s end up being long 2s way too often. Or they end up hitting the side of the backboard.

It might be the playbook/freelance offenses. They're normally standing right on the line - which is a killer. It's just not the way the NBA is played nowadays. I'd rather have players NEVER step on the line.

Re: Long 2

Slightly off topic, but I play on default superstar/sim sliders, and I find that the long 2 is absolute money (for me and the CPU). The CPU steps on the line all the time, but I actually hate that because it seems that the hairline difference increases the chances of success massively.

I know I know, I probably need to adjust some sliders!

Re: Long 2

I think this is a flaw in the game code. We are playing with NBA players who are playing at the highest level. Players are smart enough to know where to stand to shoot 3s. Long 2s should occur super rarely. Hopefully this is addressed in the latest patch
