For a quick fix for REC and The Park, can we get the difficulty put on HOF? I don't think a patch would be needed for that, would it?

Somewhat interesting since MyTeam is a moneymaker and it's the mode left most broken.

That fact may cause 2K to release a proper fix since lower value cards are as effective at shooting as higher value ones and essentially screws up the entire MyTeam valuation and economy from a performance standpoint.

Will this be a case of VC actually forcing a patch for the entire good of the game?

HoF is HoF for a reason and that's not an excuse for changing the whole system of shooting, affecting more people in a bad way rather than a good way.
No the game had a large list of shooters that were glitched from 3pt land on HOF and some glitched from mid range and 3pt land on any standing shot attempts on SS. There were 100's of players that were glitched.

What game settings you play on what speed you play on? There was a problem where the game speed was tied to whether you could get a perfect release. So if you played at a certain game speed certain players could achieve "green release" but if you played at a different game speed it was impossible. The default game speed had 100's of players that couldn't achieve a perfect release that restricted the gameplay. They didn't intend to make the game that way so they fixed it.

I know exactly what they changed I actually said I didn't even agree with the method they chose to give an open bonus. I was actually more interested in what it means from a game play standpoint playing against the CPU or how the CPU plays you.

Nikola Mirotic just won rookie of the month, and led the league in scoring during the 4th qtr in march. How do we reward him? Drop his ratings and continue to refuse assigning him badges... #FireNBA2KRosterEditor

You could see that ratings had an effect on green releases, which was a good thing. For instance, I was able to get more 3 point green releases shooting with Kyle Korver. I was also able to get more green releases from mid-range shooting with LeBron. However, it was more rare say with a 70 overall who was just above average at those ratings.

Patch 4 didn't fix green releases, there was nothing to fix. Instead 2K tweaked it so it became common to see any player make a green release and easier for that matter. For instance, a player rated 40 in mid range can get just as many green releases as the best player in the game at mid-range.

This is why a patch is needed to revert back to a similar mechanic patch 3 had. Rating changes such as this one will not affect whether a player gets a green release or not.

Very rarely did I see people complain here about patch 3 shooting. So why was the whole mechanic changed? Now most people have a problem with the shooting.
I think you don't realize the whole problem. You were getting green releases with Korver with patch 3? Well you had to be operating in your own MyLeague with custom settings for game speed. Kyle Korver shot was glitched using the default speed of 50 as were 100's of players. This game speed of 50 is the default speed of online leagues, online ranked and the speed the game comes with. When you changed the game speed certain players became glitch free on patch 3 but it also made other players not achieve "green" release on that same game speed. The issue was a little more complex and 2K never gave the full reason. The issue I see what you are saying is:

In my Myleague I saw no glitch playersYou were operating in your own sandbox without a worry but everyone else playing the game at the default game speed had 100's of releases glitched. I am sure if you used multiple teams out of the box or played anything online you would have realized which players shots were glitched.

For example in the first week of release I knew Melo was glitched, Danny Green Diaw others because I shot hundreds of shots right out of the box on HOF and SS in practice and played tons of games without getting a green release. The glitch wasn't every where but it would be either mid range and beyond or just 3pt's from standing shots

Re: NBA 2K15 Roster Update Brings Global Rating Changes to 3-Point & Mid-Range Shooti

Some things I noticed from playing. (For reference, I use whatever the top Superstar sliders are in the sliders section and I didn't change anything pre to post patch and I'm playing offline on PC)

-Shooting is way easier. And I don't mean it in a bad way. Sometimes, I felt like you had a very specific point to release the ball or you just didn't make it at all, even wide open. I'll just scale the sliders back to accomodate this, pretty simple fix there, and something I was doing anyway.

-The CPU doesn't seem to be button jumping on passes anymore. This was an issue for me because I love the Pick and Roll, and even though I may have a clear pass, there would be an AI player that would react with a full speed lunge before my player even started the passing motion.

-Defense. On ball defense was a problem, as well as shot contesting and blocks. Now, I can play good defense and actually be rewarded for it instead of a glitchy clip or a ridiculous close shot that no one could ever make. I played with Draymond before and after, and he was so much more fun after because of his defensive relevance. I also felt that on layups, a shot contest meant absolutely nothing. Which was super frustrating combined with the CPU's tendency to cheese to the basket. Now, the big guys are actually helping on help D, and it just feels awesome.

-Blocks. Before, blocks were coming at very weird points, and I felt as though they were unachievable on regular shots in the paint, rendering paint protectors useless. Wow, is that better. Shots and animations are being interrupted by blocks and the blocks are coming when they should, when a small guy tosses one up over Valanciunas. Get it out of here.

-CPU cheese. They don't dance around waiting for an animation catch to drive by, they run plays, get it to the big men, and play offense. They aren't over jumping passes and grabbing crazy offensive rebounds to maintain a lead.

-Rubberbanding. Dare I say this? I think it's actually not there anymore, or at least toned down. I built a big lead, and I was able to keep it. No stupid stretches of crap happening. For the first time, I didn't feel like it was scripted.

The people saying SS was fine, maybe it was on PS4/Xbox (although I doubt it), but it was broken on PC. Complete and utter garbage from game to game. This patch was a godsend.

If 2k put out this exact version of the game next year, I would buy it. The experience is far and away better than it has ever been, and my only complaint is that it took this long. Baseball just came out, but I'm going to be spending a lot more time with basketball, because it just got really good.
