Thanks, yes, that's actually what I meant. Attributes shooting grades were lower. Less talented players who now have a F-grade in shooting attributes now, became a bit difficult to shoot with unless one master their perfect release. This could be an issue going forward.

Ok anyone with a F grade say 67 or lower now will be a 59 and will only be able to hit perfect releases or nothing? I personally have no problem with that because if they are rated that low they are not a "shooter" anyway. They are either a real non-shooter or have no business shooting jumpers at all.

I am more interested in the gameplay impact. Say the CPU deciding when to guard players or sag off also controlling Myleague ratings shooting scale.

Well Knicks Lance Thomas got screwed over this update. Now, he can't shoot threes, lol. The only 66 overall rated starter in NBA 2K15. This guy plays slightly better than that.

Man I've had two absolute lockdown games defense after this update....it seems like with these edits and the increased penalty for contested shots, it has added the strategy aspect back to defense....

Again... Even Lance Thomas got boosted from the patch. This is just a way to counteract how the patch made him better. It shouldn't effect him too much more than how he was pre patch 4

The patch didn't just effect green releases. It also effected mid range shots going in at a higher percentage. Keep that in mind

Hey Everybody!

Here are the notes for today’s update:
  • The Euro League Roster received a roster overhaul.
  • 3pt and Mid-Range Shooting Ratings were globally adjusted based on shooting percentages from the newest patch (Every player had their Standing and Moving Mid Range and 3pt Shot Ratings decreased by 8 points) Due to these changes, in some cases the overall rating for players may be drastically different than it was before
  • Sim Bhullar was added to the Kings
Hope everybody has a great Friday!

Great job, haven't played yet, but glad to see tweaking is still being done, and new players being added so quickly. Adding players is so much better than it use to, I was wondering if Sim was getting added. Looking forward to trying it out, even though it means I have to redo my My League Roster that I backdated to opening night, lol.

There was nothing wrong with any of the releases. For patch 3 I played about 7-8 seasons with a Knicks franchise. Every one of my players could get a perfect release, they just were not common. You could see that ratings had an effect on green releases, which was a good thing. For instance, I was able to get more 3 point green releases shooting with Kyle Korver. I was also able to get more green releases from mid-range shooting with LeBron. However, it was more rare say with a 70 overall who was just above average at those ratings.

Patch 4 didn't fix green releases, there was nothing to fix. Instead 2K tweaked it so it became common to see any player make a green release and easier for that matter. For instance, a player rated 40 in mid range can get just as many green releases as the best player in the game at mid-range.

This is why a patch is needed to revert back to a similar mechanic patch 3 had. Rating changes such as this one will not affect whether a player gets a green release or not.

Very rarely did I see people complain here about patch 3 shooting. So why was the whole mechanic changed? Now most people have a problem with the shooting.
