Re: NBA 2K16 Official Jumpshots Thread

I'm having a terrible experience making mid range shots in Pro Am

Jumpshot 70 on Normal

I went 3 for 3 in 3s but literally missed every mid range attempt but 1 in a span of two games played.

I go to Park and can light up Rivet City with greens. I don't yet understand the discrepancy here.

I have Outside Scoring at 18 Discipline

6'6" Balanced SG 99 Overall (not that this is significant but fwiw)

What are any recommendations some of yall have? I'm considering using a different jumper for Pro Am that offers more balance between Mid Range and 3pt success

Yea same type of thing I'm having with kobe jumper. It's all around good for me in park but in pro am . I can't hit anything. Wonder why there is such a difference? If I have timing down shouldn't it just work for all modes

It's tough to say whether it's this or that or here or there because the same discrepancies existed in 2K15.

In '15 you had jumpers that gave you a different performance in all three modes : career, park, and JRC. I was fortunate to have even success with Lillard in all three modes in 15.

What is clear is that difficulty is different in Pro Am / JRC vs Park and difficulty influences shot timing and shot success.

Best thing is to move on with a new jumper for the one mode that's giving you troubles.

What is tricking me is that my timing is on 3s for Pro Am is not anymore crisp than my timing on Middies... I feel like 2K development team is being too hard on mid range success for Pro Am. I did see my teammates and opponents making their mid range shots but it's as if you need 85+ on your mid range or do you get favors for being an Outside Scoring personality?

Pro Am and Park are not set on the same difficulty level and game style. Park's settings are easier and more arcadey.

Park also allows you to use boosts, whereas Pro Am does not.

Re: NBA 2K16 Official Jumpshots Thread

I watched a video on youtube from a guy recommending:

#70 > good 3 point shot
#22 > consistent 3 pt and Mid-Range

Each on quick, for Park and Proam (I only care about Park).

I had most success with #22, and did pretty well with #70. I need to test them more but #22 was probably my favorite out of those two.

I'm still trying to find one that works best for me in MyPark. Based off some stuff I've seen here and there, I'm going to try these ones next (all on quick):

#123
#51
Lillard
Korver
K. Thompson
#72
Aldridge
High School #3
#27
#78

Feel free to let me know if I shouldn't bother with any of those, or if I'm missing any. I am a 6'8" SG that relies on open jumpers from 3 and mid.

Pro am team seems to be on different level than pro am walk on. I just wish I knew the level.
