nah, i'm talking about the bad user ai defense. bigs floating towards the baseline, bad transition defense, etc.

Guys all of the dialogue in this thread is great but now we really need to get this stuff organized... And provide a simple way for the 2k dev team to respond... Think of this thread as a large meeting... Everyone has voiced their complaints now someone needs to do the meeting notes and provide (A) action (R) request & (S) statement. Points as well as identify which game modes they are experiencing the problems with the game... In my opinion we should not focus as much on things we can change with a slider tweak but focus on actually gameplay issues that can't be tweaked with a slider adjustment..

We have to remember that these guys make a hell of a game every year... Their not making fallout or The Witcher series were that can take their time and push a game out every 4 years.. Also they have families too and have to deal with work/life balance like we do.

So let's help ourselves by helping them have an easier time seeing our issues with the game, responding if they feel like these are issues to them and will patch or not some of these.

Once they respond yea or neh then we as gamers can decide based on the devs feedback if we as gamers will continue to play the game or not, purchase it again next year or continue to support the franchise. If they respond and we don't like the answer they give but we continue to play the game and complain then it's on us not them because they have told us where they stand and the direction they are moving with the franchise ... "Will they continue to put more hours into my player and less into simulation AI... " ? "Will they they comback to their roots and put more gameplay sim hours over Myplayer ?" Or continue to try to balance both??? Which this will be the answer tbh.. But without structure it's hard to hold them to some of the gameplay issues mentioned in this thread.

I'm all for it!

I want to play on ball defense without being held by an imaginary force when the cpu AI goes to make its scoring move..

Example:
As a defensive end your goal is to sack the quarterback especially on 3rd and long.. No matter how great you are or what you have been taught via tutorial vids etc... If the offensive lineman hold you it's a flag/penalty that is called against your opponent..

If you play on ball enough defensive or take notice when the cpu is ready to score ... Your user controlled player will slow down to a turtle speed to allow for the cpu AI to score... It will release you wants its sure your no threat to the outcome it has scripted to be true lol. "Cheating" ..

It happens so fast that some of you may not take notice and that what the developers wants .. It's that devs job to put cheats in the game and blend it to make it feel organic and realistic. ...

2k the way I see it there's 2 kind of plp that this affects ... The gamer(A) who says "2k is to easy the game six there's no challenge" ... And the sim gamer(B) who says "The game is cheating with obvious scripted codes that shouldn't be in a sim Bball game" ... 2k has chosen to respond to gamer (A) over the past years..

Is gamer (A) the majority and gamer (B) the minority ??? Why the hell does 2k care so damn much ?? If gamer (A) wants the game to be harder play on HOF and turn ALL the damn sliders up to 100... Then if you win post it on YouTube and I'll send you a cookie and a gold star sticker for your accomplishment lol.

That is what I mean when I say the defense is atrocious an all that goes with that ... Transition defense, Tom Brady passes full court lol, off ball help AI defense ... Etc.

I started tweaking coaching sliders...

The only complaint I have is that I still feel the on the ball defense is slow to respond.

What everyone still continues to complain about and I for one am complaining as well is the Tom Brady full court hail mary passes to the paint the CPU does (Users who exploit as well). I wouldn't mind if it happened on occasion because players slip up on defense sometimes IRL. But this happens more than 90% of the time which obviously is unacceptable.

Minor issue here, but anyone notice CPU runs the SAME 2-3 plays all the time? I've been noticing this since back to 2k13. They don't go deep enough into their playbook and it's too predictable often leading to intercepted passes and inevitable TO's. Smarten up the CPU a bit more!

They need to do a complete rehaul with the live ball and physics. Too many times the CPU has the magnetic yo yo dribbling effect when trying to get by you or the AI. Two problems there: 1 if that is the user doing that then we'd immediately lose and turn the ball over and 2 maybe in the park that could be an arcade like dribble move, but in the NBA that's called a CARRY lol. On the user side when near sideline out of bounds after user or CPU steals the ball, the same magnetic yo yo effect happens where ball clearly dribbles out of bounds but it doesn't touch the ground and continues dribbling in bounds up the sideline.

Speaking of out of bounds, they need to get rid of the force field that keeps the user in bounds and just make it realistic and possible to accidentally step out of bounds. This will also elimimate cheesers from turboing up the sideline and down towards baseline forcing the drive every other possession. I know this warrants a lot of brainstorming and probably not as important as the 1st two, but I think 2k can find a way to clean that up once in for all.

Can't think of anything else gameplay wise that I can say bugs me.
The devs needs to get a hold of the above quote and any other legitimate game flaws that the majority are reporting in a clear and concise report. Just to add, all of these are experienced in MyCareer mode since that is the most important mode for me, but I've read enough that all modes are affected by all of these above as well. If me quoting my own quote was too much just to bump thread I apologize, but with so many people typing what they see minor or major, my quote can get lost in a large thread that speaks for the majority.

The fans should be more in the game. I think the crowd needs more chants and make more noise for the home team.

Sorry, had to bump this. This is my biggest complaint NOW. It never occurred for me until after Patch 3. Hopefully this gets rectified ASAP. For those unaware, if you try playing with friends from MyCourt and join ProAm Walk-On, only the MyCourt leader gets into the ProAm Walk-on game, while your remaining friends are stuck at 99% loading.

We would normally just play ProAm Team Up, but sometimes there are only a couple of us. ProAm is a lot more fun to us than MyPark so we'd really like to avoid playing Park if possible some nights.

We did find a minor work around. It's the same trick you use to join games in EA's NHL. You both go to your individual MyCourts, and give a 1,2,3, go! and join ProAm Walk-On. The drawback, is you very well could be on opposite teams. This has happened to us a few times.
