Re: People truly think 1v1 proves 'skill' in 2k

9 times out of 10 I will beat someone in real life 1 on 1 because I know how to play in the post and will just kill em with fundamentals mixed with my god given athleticism lol

But it's a game of 5 on 5, that's what basketball is. To anyone who ever thinks a 1 on 1 game proves anything; you're delusional.

Guys have every excuse especially in the Park:

"You're 7'3 and I'm (insert size)"...so I say, why couldn't you drive past me?

"All you do is dunk"....You can't defend my moves and stop me from dunking.

"Let me bring out my center..."

So many excuses, then they even have the nerve to throw teammates under the bus too. If someone outplays me it's just a game..I don't seek them out to prove anything in some virtual world lol kids get prideful of that meaningless record.

Lol 2K online takes almost no skill, if any. Playing online and then playing offline is like night and day: it's a lot more fun and flexible offline. A majority of the people playing online are egotistical "you can't stop me with this one size up and same jumpshot as over 40% of the people have in mypark" idiots.

I'm saying this now, playing and enjoying offline is a lost art in 2K.

People act like being successful at 2k means something.

3 pages of controls when they allow 3/4ths of them to be executed with one button.

Pressing one button makes you good at this video game.

Doesn't imply skill. But far too many CPU controlled players are Gary Payton on the defense end, and all that bumping is a foul to be honest. If they cleaned that up, wouldn't be much of a problem.

Any sport that allows playing 1 on 1 has this "problem". For some people this is the ultimate challenge then...

I rarely lose 1v1 matches when I try. Thing is, when someone starts super spamming dribbles, I literally lose interest by the second possession, and I barely even attempt to win. There's even been instances where I've actually sat my controller down and went to find something else to do until it was over.

Someone called me scrub once and I asked if they wanted to play 1 v1, but I was talking about using my Hornets against whatever team he wanted to pull.

Not 1v1 in MyCourt with MyPlayers, 1 human versus 1 human with full control of our teams.

Are we talking about 100 percent on ball defense or something else?
