I just hope 2k17 gets rid of this bull**** momentum system comeback ai momentum bull**** they have implentented in or atleast tweak it for god sakes. it has never been so bad until this edition of 2k.

Another thing, either take shooting back to the 2k14 versions or make all excellent A+ shots go in like last year cause this is just straight foolishness at this point when contested shots are going in more than wide open ones.

Most of these instances happen in myteam then again it is myteam Im not even shocked. PNO isnt as insane with the bull**** that myteam is.

See yall for 2k17 cause as of today im over it.

1. There is no comeback code. If there was it'd happen in every game. You'd be lying if you said it happens every game.

2. Go back to 14 is fine, all A+ shots falling is stupid. There is no such thing as a perfect shot. I know it's frustrating but sometimes you just miss.

Addendum to 1. There is a momentum system. And yes, if it swings hard the other way it seems cheap. Call time outs, change personnel and change your game plan to stop it

Ive played over 160 games of MyLeague. Put me in the camp that doesnt think there is comeback code. I go on runs, I give up runs.

This game is so close to absolute greatness. IMO, they need to address three primary gameplay related issues for 17' to make this a year round game for me.

1. Movement/Explosion- They really need an overhaul to movement and dribble drives in this game. Players just do not have first step explosion or explosion out of dribble moves. Also, the defense is extremely sticky and you constantly get stuck in these suction animations. It really takes away from the free flowing game of basketball. In all honesty, not many players (particularly stars) can be guarded 1 V 1. Teams rely on help defense and strategy to make things as difficult as possible for the offense. (Obviously they need to find a solid balance, but using all the suction, warping, and offensive players "stuck in mud" animations is not the way to do it.

2. Defensive Awareness- Players leaving shooters wide open and running to the lane. This is beyond frustrating and the only way to keep players from doing this is "deny/tight". However, with these setting they just hug the offensive players and give up back door cuts and no help whatsoever. (You can definitely add transition defense to this as well- it could definitely use an overhaul)

3. AI rubberbanding/momentum- This has been discussed plenty, and I am not neccessarily a believer in "comeback code", but there is definitely something funky about the momentum system they created two years ago. All I want is an entirely organic experience without any programming factors dictating how games play out.

If these three things are overhauled in 2K17, the game will never leave my XBOX.

I wouldn't say there is no come back code because in past 2Ks we had a clutch slider and the clutch option. When these were off if you played a scrub user there was no close games or him getting lucky and beating you. If you were that good at the game you'll wipe the floor with him all the time. Now these options are hidden in the game and you can't turn them off. I want to see these options back in the game.

Comeback code may or may not be completely in the game but something weird is going on definitely. Many people get off wins just by pure luck being mixed with that same 'comeback'. If someone doesn't know to play or play much worse than me, let me blow them by 30+ pts margin. I am sick of making huge margin in 1st & 2nd quarter so that i can get 'caught' by some miraculous shots and ref decisions in 3rd which results in 'tight' 4th quarter..happened to me 9times out of 10.

PS: I do call timeouts, switch players, mix up rotations, small or big lineups but comeback code or whatever it is have much stronger effect on game. When someone asks me 'do you call timeouts', ofcourse i do, rarely play players below 85-80 energy lvl but nothing really helps against 'comeback code' or whatever it is..

MyCareer. All-Star mode.

Why does the CPU opponent do MOST things correctly.... yet my CPU teammates cannot do these same things correctly???? (like box-out, rebound, defend & make shots)

Also the CPU opponents consistently make tough shots & easy layups in the 3rd quarter.... yet my CPU teammates MISS wide-open layups & short jumpers consistently every 3rd quarter.

The CPU 'comeback cheese' is annoying.
And it needs to stop. Once & forever.

Every game I play that is as close as 10 points or less by halftime.... results in the CPU offense going on a massive run during the 3rd quarter, while the defense of my CPU teammates gets worse & worse... until it is a 20+ point deficit.

Then I ALWAYS have to play 'hero ball' from late in the 3rd quarter just to get back within 'striking distance'.... by late in the 4th quarter. (and hope to God that the CPU coach doesn't bench me while we are making a comeback)

Enough is enough.

2K, how about you ensure that my teammates can actually 'finish plays' at (or near) the rim in the 3rd quarter..... so that I'm NOT THE ONLY PERSON on my team whose stats are good enough to get selected to the NBA All-Star team every year.

It's extremely frustrating because.... I can watch REAL NBA TEAMS like OKC, or the 2000 Lakers, or the 1980's Celtics, or the 1990's Bulls, or the 1990's Jazz, or the 2000 Spurs and see both Kobe & Shaq, or Magic, Kareem & Worthy, or Duncan Ginobli & Parker, or Durant & Westbrook, or Bird, Parish & Mchale, or Stockton & Malone... ALL make it to the All-Star team in the very same year....

Meanwhile, no matter HOW MANY assists I try to dish out..... my teammates (in MyCareer mode) NEVER make it to the All-Star game with me..... because they cannot 'finish' consistently in the 3rd quarter.... so their overall stats suck and will never get voted into the All-Star game ahead of the 'default Superstars' that get selected every year.

C'mon 2K.

Fix the 'teammate AI' in MyCareer mode. Once & for all.

It's annoying watching the MAJORITY of my teammates consistently miss very easy shots.... which eventually forces me to 'go nuts' and just play 'hero ball' in order to win games, or stay competitive.

You know the game 'has issues' when (every game) you can PREDICT exactly when your CPU teammates are going to start playing like a bunch of scrubs for an extended period of time.

Yeah the game is rigged big time by the cpu. It will hover within 10 points and then catch up until you are down by 5 late. It will pull out of its orbit if you get up by about 15 points and they will stop making hard shots routinely and you will be able to make layups again. The team worked so hard on the game, I have absolutely no idea why they feel the need to ruin it with cheat logic. It completely cheapens what is otherwise a great game.
