Why do people say the 2K camera makes the game look bad?

LOL. They're not mutually exclusive though. I am definitely playing to win more than anything, but I can do both playing on broadcast like I am watching a real game and also winning most of my games.

IMO. Broadcast looks better and plays better for me. Only thing I like about 2K is you seem to have more space and when you're not passed the half court line you can see what's going on at the other end because someone might be wide open that would be a easy pass.

But other than that I can't play on 2K. Especially as a PG. I can't see the corners as easily as I can on broadcast.

I play on broadcast and have been since 2k5. I'm use to it. I don't favor one side of the floor over the next, iso moves are money for me on either side of the floor, and I can judge spacing much better than 2k cam. The reason i run with broadcast over 2k cam is mostly because it makes the game look realistic. 2k is a 3rd person game, so even if you're controlling the guys on the floor you still view them in 3rd person. Kinda wish my career had a first person cam though.

2K cam creates tunnel vision IMO, guys far too often begin going one on one.

Broadcast gives you the ability to play the game as you would watch it, its much more authentic.

This is a total agree to disagree issue. Stating ones preference is fine, but trying to prove someone else wrong is beyond pointless. The only people who are wrong in this thread are the people who actually think that their opinion is objectively correct.

2k cam, like broadcast, is not a "third person" cam. It doesn't follow each individual player you still have your account for players on the sidelines and so on. Neither of them replicate any sort of real life POV so it's all up to your preference. Other than transition their is no other tangible advantage to 2k cam it's all in people's heads. One could argue, also, that broadcast has an advantage because you don't have to account for the time lost on the flip on turnovers and rebounds. The flip is a bit disorienting and sometimes cause you to go out of bounds or unwanted spin moves.

Of course it is impossible to play with a 2k cam, but the only problem with broadcast cam is the feeling that the paint is a square while when you are watching a real game the paint is like a large rectangle.

2k cam is arcade, 2k broadcast closer to the reality!
