Also, is Strength needed? I only have 2 bars for it. Shooting off dribble ignore.

Appreciate your advice.
You know what, nevermind. I'm not an offline player so I wouldn't know what works better.

Offline, rebounding is just knowing how to crash boards...

Strength revents you from being pushed around

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

Hi, everyone. I'm having a TOUGH time making a final new park player. Should I make a 6'7 slasher or make my slasher taller at 6'8? Sure he would be a little faster at 6"7 but not able to block a lot. Do 6'7 slashers get a decent amount of blocks at the park?

6'7 slashers are godlike on defense.. Don't know what it is but every game I've played with my slasher in the Pro-Am I've averaged like 25 pts, 9 reb, 9 ast, 4 blks, and had an 8 block game the other night.. And that's a 6'7 slasher SG.. Which is funny because my 6'8 Lockdown SF barely gets any blocks at all and hardly any good block animations.. My slasher is probably my favorite player to play on defense. He gets more stuff blocks than swats which are easy to control and get the rebound. The secret to blocking is trying to force them into a contact layup and jumping right when they leave the ground, rather than trying to anticipate their shot and blocking before they even get ready to shoot..

Thanks for the great info. What weight do you have him at?

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

He's 6'7, 235lb SG (SG for Acrobat). I don't think Slasher suffers as much from higher weight so even though he is 235, he still has 80 speed. I wish he was a little faster with the ball but that's a problem with 2K's attribute caps for the archetype, but he gets HOF One-Man Fast Break so that helps make up for the low speed with ball. I only play Pro-Am so I don't know what works in the park and what doesn't but when I play him in Pro-Am, I'm most comfortable when it places you at the SF position.

The way I distribute my attribute points is usually to leave out a few points here and there in buckets so that I can upgrade another bucket to a reasonable spot.. I look for attributes that I can avoid if they only give 1 or 0 on an upgrade while trying to hit specific marks like 75 ball control. Only lose out on 1 or 2 points here and there but lets you drop 30+ into another. I went with Rebounding because I don't often play with Glass Cleaners and getting rebounds gives you more opportunities for your One Man Fast Break badge to activate and helps make up for your low Speed With Ball. Slashers and Lockdown Defender types make for good rebounders due to their elite athleticism, behind Glass Cleaners of course..

81 Shot Close
75 Shoot Off Dribble

94 Stand Layup
93 Driving Layup
89 Standing Dunk
91 Driving Dunk
92 Contact Dunk

74 Mid Range

80 Speed
78 Acceleration
82 Vertical

70 Strength

65 Off+Def Rebound

75 Ball Control (Stopped upgrading playmaking after I hit 75 for elite dribble moves)
72 Pass Accuracy
71 Speed With Ball

72 all defensive stats except 61 lateral quickness

Mine is similiar to this except I didnt drop any pts into rebounding but maxed defense, playmaking and 3 pointer.
