This 'be the coach' menu got me all messed up

I played a random scrimmage game to get the hang of it before I did anything else- like I always do.

No shot clock, D doesnt bother you.

It's something new. You just have to take a minute to get used to it. I honestly didnt find it that difficult...took me about 10 minutes to get a feel for the menus.

Oh my mistake, I was talking the freelance stuff...

but yeah, had to do the same (a couple of times) with the time out menu in a quick game.

What I dont like is that it seems like you cant pull the menu back up if you initially dismiss it.

My 5 cents. I love the new 2k17 in-game and timeout substitution menu. Much better than last year. Much more intuitive. Despite not having a full handle on it yet, I also love the layout for all the other maneuvers one needs to make during the timeout. It's only been a few hours but loving the new timeout screens.

My only concern right now is that substitution made during timeouts only come in during the next dead ball.

Seriously? I can't even figure out how to substitute full line-ups during a time-out. What an non-user friendly menu. Smh

yep, very serious.

I'll have to revisit the game tonight, but I believe you've got to (during timeout)
(1) press the square button ps4
(2) press the R2 button
(3) left stick and point to player you want to sub out
(4) right stick and point to player you want to sub in.

it could be #3 before #2, but can't remember right now.

Thats it....and mass subs are done with the bumpers...

I actually think the incorporation of the R Stick making changes is pretty slick once you fogure it out..

I'm with DC. I think it just seems weird now because it's brand new and totally different, but it'll become more intuitive eventually.

If not, I did a little research and found that, apparently, patches can change menu designs, so maybe if it gets all the way to that point and it's really unbearable, we won't have to wait until 2K18.
