Idk, i could pretty much do all that in 2k17 too. And after the updates that stuck gravitating feeling is not nearly as bad.

I have always been a below average iso guy, but this year was not very realistic with the on ball defense. I also think strength played 2 big a factor in blow by animations.

Yes, off topic...and no, not my intention.

This was moreso my experience in 2K17 vs the CPU. I'm sure you could cook your life away vs a human..

I feel like I earned a step here and shouldnt have been knocked back into place...

YES. This example pretty much sums it up. I usually don't like using screenshots to prove a point about something that happened in motion but since we have the video right there for supporting evidence, I'm going for it.

You shook Jeff Teague completely off balance here. His body is still going the opposite way at the time of this screenshot. At the same time, Kyrie Irving has already moved to expose a huge gap leading directly into the paint:

And yet, Jeff Teague magically recovers to not only dissuade an Irving drive...

... But also manages to push and body Kyrie almost all the way to the opposite elbow:

That's madness, all things considered.

I Respectfully disagree mate. I think both games had bad dribbling and driving mechanics. All of the moves that you did in your video were awesome and definitely done a bit better than 2k17, but often times you shouldn't need all of those moves to get to the basket. I felt in NBA 2k16 and 17 I had to pull out a long string of moves to get an ankle breaking animation in order to keep my man from warping back and cutting me off. On top of that the first step was very slow after 2K decided to patch it out of the game (speed boosting).

I wish 2K would Implement what the other basketball game did in it's version on a 2018 sports title. Respect angles and momentum. I don't want to always need empty out my whole bag of candy just to get past a defender. Isaiah Thomas Beats his man often with just a half spin, Russ sometimes just straight up runs past his defender IRL. You couldn't do that often at all in 16 or 17, and if you did it felt slow and undeserving.

Agreed regarding the need to throw out the whole bag of tricks in hoping to elude a defender in a half-court setting (and even then, it remained difficult and unlikely). Attacking a defender in real life is often about making things as simple as possible for yourself. Those simple things often felt pointless in 2K17.

In just one aspect, jab steps and triple-threat as a whole felt as though it was all for show last year when they should be the base of just about everything that happens along the wing.

Edit: Speaking only about 2K17. I have no knowledge of 2K16.

Nah you really didnt have to do all these moves to get past your opponent in 2K16....you could even get past them without a 'riding sequence' every time which IMO, is even more true to life. I actually felt fast. My moves were more about showing creativity and how the CPU reacted to those moves. Whats funny is the half spin was onr of my favorite tools.

As JoFri can attest to, I posted video about this often in 2016...and can post those again here if needed. 2017 was a different story.

EDIT: For example
