I was pleasantly surprised by the Summer League. I probably hadn't made it to an NBA 2K offseason since, like, 2K12, maybe. 2K18's Summer League is still fictional (no Rocky Mountain Revue or Orlando League) but it looks more authentic than I'd thought it would - authentic-looking summer court, practice jerseys, etc.

Beyond all that, the one cool little thing I appreciated: Each summer league team is being run by that franchise's real life assistant coach, and he's wearing shorts and a polo.

Orlando League is in if I am not making a mistake. You have 2K league which is at Orlando Magic facility. I had played with teams that where in Vegas, but now I using the Heat and I am about to wrap up in Orlando. They even do the championship style with each team playing a final game depending on ranking. For example we did well and are playing the Celtics for the championship.

Re: NBA 2k18 - The Little Things Thread

This has been happening all year. And now I'm finally bring it up. I love the pace of the outlet man. When he comes over with hands close together looking for the ball to start the break or get the ball.

The second thing is how fast the CPU recognizes your not going to pass the ball to him and dribble it up the court with the ball handler. So if you rebound the ball with the likes of DeMarcus Cousin or Draymond Green. The PG will join the break really smoothly

These two things blew my mind coming from 2k16. So often there would be two CPU players just waiting around for the inbounds pass when only one was necessary, and there didn't seem to be a "fast inbound", only the slow walk to spot, get ready to throw animation. This year, they do so many little things extra, and there seem to be dozens of inbound animations. I saw a new one where they kind of just hopped in with one foot and quickly passed just yesterday.

Also love when you inbound as a point guard and the other player seems eager to pass it back like real life.

Re: NBA 2k18 - The Little Things Thread

This might be a big thing more than a little thing but I love the expansion franchises in MyLeague. They look and feel about as real as something fake could feel. There's some incredible user created templates out there. Just played the Montreal Olympique for the first time the other day (brought back the SuperSonics on the west coast, added Montreal in the East for balance). A look at Montreal's home court:

As a little thing sidenote, and I'm pretty sure 100 percent random, the Montreal team drafted Tony Parker as their point guard and featured Joffrey Lauvergne and Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot off the bench. I swear if I didn't know any better I'd think Montreal expansions are programmed to seek French players. I mean, I know it's not true, but let me have this.

Re: NBA 2k18 - The Little Things Thread

A few other little things I noticed recently:

1. Josh Smith is properly listed on Detroit's payroll in franchise mode (even though he hasn't played for the club in years).

2. I never play with the Lakers, and I'm not sure if that's the only time he joins the crew, but I heard Kobe Bryant in the booth for the first time when my Pistons visited L.A. Pretty cool and insightful experience. For those of you who use that team a lot, I'm guessing you've long tired of Kobe's stories, but it was novel to me.

3. Latin Night in the NBA features Latin influenced music in-between quarters.
