Dude have you ever watched Yao Ming play, I think i'd be more other way around, he'd slaughter them

This is the NBA. If you just LEAVE Dwight he might pull. Maybe he'll make it, maybe he doesn't. As a coach I'm not mad he pulled WIDE OPEN.

You're essentially saying you shouldn't have to play defense on me. Ok... If i can catch you sleeping on defense and catch an oop OVER YOUR HEAD I'll accept it. But true athleticism isn't represented in this game at all.

Don't tell me I'm the bane of the community. I've been grinding on slashers all year, i went through 6 characters to find one i truly enjoy.
Err, no. Mike Brown benched Bynum for shooting a wide open 3. Dwight would get the same treatment if he did the same. shaq only shot threes when the game was out of reach and it wouldn't matter, and he only shot a handful of threes in his entire career. If you can't shoot threes you don't get defended from 3 and your coach will never tolerate shooting threes when the game is on the line. That's why people go under screens vs rondo, tony allen, etc and why people don't play Deandre Jordan close on the perimeter. It's not a smart gameplan and just because a ****ty three point shooter is open, shouldn't be rewarded in 2k.

True or false.

If I'm left wide open you never want me to make a corner 3 with a 61 3 pointer? You want it to miss EVERY time?

Top of the key is hard, i hardly ever make it. Wings are truly a 30% shot. I'll make them, but not a very high clip.

Corners i can shoot around 40% wide open. And trust me, I'm constantly WIDE.

If I'm hot, I'll make it. If I'm trying to rely on my 3 ball, I'll brick.

As a dunker i HAVE to have a threat from deep. At LEAST from mid range.

But there's an easy solution to this... Play up.

I think you're misunderstanding me.

I'm not blaming you for shooting threes, I'm saying that as a pure athletic finisher your 3 ball shouldn't be that high in the first place. The max your 3ball should be is maybe in the 50-55 range. You make a build with no shooting in it you should be ready to accept the implications. So maybe you make a 3, but not twice in a game. It makes more sense to make 1 in every few games.

Out of every other big man build they get EXACTLY what you just said. I've left pure glass cleaners wide and they get a 54!

You're not factoring in boosts, you're not factoring in if they're hot (+9), and regardless LEAVING anyone is bad defense too begin with.

I'm sorry.

Hilarious, 40% on wide open threes is basically what Steph Curry (47%) shoots when left open. You think it's reasonable for a non-shooter to shoot only slightly worse from three than the best shooter ever? By allowing non shooters to be able to hit 40% of their threes you remove strategy from the game, you shouldn't be a respectable shooter, you shouldn't be able to make them at a good rate if you're a 61. Leaving you open and guarding the paint is how real basketball works when a non shooter is on the floor, just like how slow bigs shouldn't be able to keep up with faster ones, remove the hip riding animation. 2k is too concerned with holding the hands of players, which is why the player base is in the dumps now, you want to shoot 40% on wide open threes with a non shooter, that is just wrong and your 3 point shooting should be a glaring weakness if you're a slasher. Your team should have to build around your weakness with players that can do the things you can't, which would lead to more of a variety in the teams.

In essence you want Amare/Shawn Kemp in the paint that will dunk on anyone, who shoots 40% from three and when you rush the line he blows by you and initiates an unstoppable animation? A player like that has never existed, why stop there? Why not just give Sharps your contact dunks, let the rim protectors be able to equip elite dribble moves while we're at it.

So Jordan never made a 3.

Vince never made a 3.

Wade has a 72 rating and shoots below 30% from 3. Guys with 60 ratings shouldn’t be hitting 40-50 percent like I do with my Center, even wide open.
