That video was made in response to someone saying post play wasn’t fun. I wasn’t trying to showcase skill in that 2 minute video.

Honesty dudes are so trash on this game i probably couldn’t show every move i can do in a 2 minute video. I didn’t need immense skill to score on most of those plays, guys were playing defense too badly.

Edit: Just looked at the video again and idk how those up and unders weren’t skill. Most of them i set up with a spin or by driving to get my dude to jump, then i put the up and under move back into the defender to get him to jump again so i could score wide open. That was on purpose and takes skill. Nobody can tell me a hop jumper into an up and under isn’t skill. You just don’t see that move being done everyday. Also note i purposely put the up and under where the defender wasn’t at to avoid a block. That wasn’t random.

Because up and under your reacting to the defense. That's a skill in my opinion. Your watching the defense. And then doing moves to counter his movement.

A lot people didn't learn about the L2 post up jabs and spin moves. These are huge in my opinion.

I personally don’t know how correctly using up and unders isn’t stick skill.

If anyone could do it everyone would

@jeebs - thanks for posting and taking the time to record and post those videos. I think maybe we just share two views on what’s good or well done. No offense at all to you because it’s not you or how you are doing it and I watched every one of the videos in your 3 posts, but to me it looks so bad. Because the faceup game was so bad I actually went and edited every player at one point in my roster to have a O in face up tendencies.

You face up and the defender is auto not squared to you and it almost warps where the 2 players aren’t close or tied together. This makes a face drive obvious and easy. Then “if” you do jab step the cpu does nothing with no reactions. Zero. The 2 players need to tie together better imo. We’ve all seen it in past 2k games where your trying to post up and the cpu or user is trying to play post defense but can’t touch him and you feel awkward going to score 2 points as he kind of warped behind you and couldn’t attach to you. I just bring that up because In the post game the 2 don’t always mesh well. The other thing with the faceup is the drop into it. I can’t put my finger on it but the faceup almost brings you forward (or warp to side) as opposed to backwards if that makes sense?

The one up and under move you did is what happens a lot with the spin up and under animation to their opposite shooting hand. I hate that. That rarely if ever happens irl. I have seen Embiid do this but that’s because he still has awkward footwork and moves in the post still irl. He’s gotten better but still awkward and not very good yet at instinctively chaining moves with good footwork yet. Anyways, I just want to see the basic kevin Mchale up and unders. Like the video I posted with Hakeem in a previous post. That was beautiful. No need for anything else imo. Everything else is fine in the post game. It’s just those 2 moves that need some love imo minus the animations or interactions with the defense in the post and in the lane.

Just my .02... I’ll try and record some stuff and put it In 1 video to show...

I feel the same about the post game feeling like a crap shoot theses days. I like the moves and how it can look and feel really good, the results though just aren't as satisfiying as they used to.
Agreed! 2k11 was great and deep from my memory of it regarding post moves. It wasn’t easy as it shouldn’t be. Once you learned moves you could kill. They had practice post back then though too. I recall loving that post game more then any other game. That was fun!

It’s for sure a stick skill and easy to do. Especially vs another user. What’s the point? Who said it wasn’t easy to do in here?

My 7' Athletic is a blast at center if I'm on the right team. If I'm running with randoms and the paint is constantly crowded I'll get frustrated. If I'm playing the 4 I'll be spreading the floor out by mid-range or if I'm open a 3 then attack the rim when my man closes out. If I'm at the 5 I'll just be too fast for my match up to keep up. I'll out rebound anyone who's not rebounding 1st. Even if they're 7'3.

I think a players shooting form has a lot do to with how successful they are with fadeaways and such. I used Derrick Coleman a lot because I got on an old school Nets kick. His fadeaway was brutal to use because his release was too low. It got blocked regularly. Drop steps and hooks worked much better.

No doubt player signature post moves are a factor. Some of them are bad, unrealistic. I use woody’s signature post, shot, dunk, and dribble edits for all teams! Night and day!

Jeebs - I’m labbing now and capturing video. I’ll post the video by tomorrow. So far I got 6 great clips and examples to show you what I mean. Still going and just been in here for Like 5 minutes. It will be with Hakeem and Duncan.
