Some of you guys need to realize that there is not one general audience for NBA 2K and they have to service a wide range of consumers, and I think they do a great job giving everyone something they will enjoy, the park may not be for you, but mygm may, legend team may, roster editing may, just let other consumers have their fun and you find the place that works for you.

Re: Reaction to Year 2 of The Park/Neighborhood

When I buy this game I sometimes don’t even realize that it has a “neighborhood” or a “park” or any of that online stuff.

It’s so deep in its ways for every type of gamer, I get lost in My Leauge, play now , and never venture to the online portion of the game and I’m more than happy.

This series is an amazing example of catering to all crowds and doing it very well.

This is the most popular mode for a reason. They save it for last for a reason.

You can’t fight the future.

It’s not that there’s more than a general audience. This is a known fact that success will expand your audience. The issue/concern at hand is if, say the dodgeball mini games are broken at launch...there’s NO WAY that should get fixed BEFORE, say an issue where calling timeouts resets your matchup settings/defensive gameplan (ala launch of 2K18).

I’m all for the different audiences getting what they want but it’s a basketball game FIRST so issues that are basketball related should be higher up on the list to be fixed first before the non basketball issues in my opinion.

Outdated NBA courts, hairstyles, CORE basketball 101 strategies (ex. transition defense, help defense rotations, ball movement, etc) should be prioritized higher than dodgeball is basically what I’m saying. And if they cannot be, that’s why I feel like 2K is playing with fire when it comes to their fan base long term.

Re: Reaction to Year 2 of The Park/Neighborhood

My gripe is that there are more than hardcore offline Sim heads and arcade park teens. What has 2k done for the people who wanna play a game online that resembles real basketball?

If you got 2k trying to compete with aaa titles that aren't even sports games, you lost me. Not because you shouldn't if you can, but that it's fighting a losing battle to do things that way, imo. People get bored of just ball, make ball better. Give us ability to play Co op my career, give us ability to play 5 on 5 leagues, give us more basketball.

I dunno. There's not much more to say so I won't. I'll let you guys carry on.
