Yes, yes, yes!!! I only played 2K9 for about 4 months... I can't play it because all the teams play the same.

Yes, I hope 2K don't add that passing system in 2K10, they need to have it that you have to double tap the pass button to do a quick pass. I don't know how many turnovers or easy shots I have done with this passing system.

I tried to, but DC makes 2k9 look really bad. I'm playing Choops 2k8 tho so I'm still keeping it 2k. lol

I put 2k9 down to be credit toward 2k10 right before the DC came out. Out of curiosity what made it unplayable for you guys? Not trying to down your opinion of the game honestly just curious and didnt want to make a topic for it. I would assume though that lack of defense and player movement would be a big part of it.

Re: Anyone play NBA 2k9 after playing Draft Combine?

Movement wise, it doesn't feel like I'm controlling basketball players, but rather, robots who play basketball and resemble NBA players. It's all too spazzy, jerky, and difficult to control. I should be trying to play basketball, not wrestling the controller. I try to do one simple crossover, and the game leads my player ALL OVER THE COURT. One could argue that I'm just bad at using the isomotion, but it shouldn't be this difficult in the first place. Like I said, I'm trying to PLAY BASKETBALL.

Second, the defensive game is too poor. There is little in the way of help and weakside D, as for some reason, weakside defenders stick to their man like superglue, and there's simply no help. Also, the defensive rotations need work, and it's difficult to stay in front of your man when the animations are all over the place.

Third, there is NO POST-UP GAME post-patch. None. Unless you do some heavy tweaking, Shaq will have trouble backing down Nate Robinson. Plus, whilst some post moves are too effective, others simply don't work.

Next, the game is much too cheese heavy. There are too many unstoppable animations like the ghost layup and the forearm drop step in the post, that can't be fixed with sliders. Also, there are too many cheesy backdoor cuts and the defense will do nothing to stop them, defenders will just stand there, watching.

Moreover, plays are useless. Plain and simple. Even the pick and roll often fails to work, because the C or PF will frequently just stand there after the pick. It's more like pick-and-not-roll. Geez, if I wanted a pick and pop, I wouldn't have called for a pick and roll, 2K.

And that's precisely why I can't stand playing 2K9.
