Re: Association is Ruined

I thought I was done with association when I found out I had to turn off player roles too, but now I control all 30 teams and have player roles off, just got done setting all the rotations before the season starts. Looks pretty good. Danny Granger is currently leading the league in scoring at about 29 ppg, John Wall is the front runner for ROY averaging 14 points and 6 assists per game. Evan Turner is averaging like 11 points 5 rebounds 6 assists, and Cousins is at about 12 points and 11 rebounds per game. I actually like the rookie class a lot right now.

Re: Association is Ruined

Okay so I started my association last night and wanted to sim the first season so I could start fresh with all the big FA stuff out of the way. I am doing a 30 team association so that I would have the control over the FA and draft a bit, however I have found this is a real pain in the ars.

For one, it took forever to get through the offseason, however my real complaint lies in the fact that the rotations of every team are totally messed up. I had to go into each team and fix them because half of the FA signings weren't even getting playing minutes.

I am going to try and stick it out and see how the season goes for a few games, but if there are more hurdles to go through in order to enjoy a realistic association then screw it. I really am hoping this isn't the case and I can enjoy a few seasons.

Same here.

Re: Association is Ruined

Yeah, I have started 4 different associations and I never get past 20 games.

The stats are way off!

Player roles on; I get C shooting an avg of 3-5 3pt'rs a half.

Player roles off; the rotation is jacked up.

Plus the stats are always off.

between the first and second patches was a NEAR PERFECT ASSOCIATION EXPERIENCE, IMO.

I was 12 years deep in a Knicks franchise where I was simming regular seasons and playing all the playoff games. 3 PT glitch came around, and i had to end it, i thought i was done with the game there. i got immersed back in it the other day with players roles off and see rookies get no playing time. i'm done unless the PC patch magically doesn't have the Association glitch.
To a point, I could care less on whether you play the game or not. But just a tip. Turn Chemistry "off" before starting an association along with player roles and see what that does for you. Just turning off "Player Roles" has been somewhat part of the solution as I'm sure you've found out. If you've tried this, you might want to delete your current settings (maybe even flush your cache) and start this back up again... With player's chemistry turned "off" before starting an association. This seemed to correct Rotation problems with star players and rookies, and corrected 3pt glitches. If you are me, I usually have trades turned off until off-season due to too many falsified trades. Anyway... this has been posted everywhere. If you can't stand to read around these forums then tough loss.

The rotation problems are caused by the official roster updates. When players are injured in the roster update, their minutes in the rotation are lessened or completely taken away depending on the severity of the injury (obviously).

When you start an association with player roles off, the cpu controlled teams never reset the rotations for their team, meaning everyone that was injured in the roster update and had their minutes reduced in the rotation, will NOT be getting the proper minutes.

Players like Roy, Bryant, Pierce, etc will only get like 10 MPG because of this.

If you start an association with player roles ON, the cpu teams reset their rotations before ANY games have even been played based on each players role. So, with player roles ON, you never run into the problem with rotations.

Re: Association is Ruined

I rarely have big men shoot 3s with this patch. I see it happen maybe once a game with 9 minute quarters. Big deal.
