Anybody having problems with stars sitting too much? I've seen other threads on this but haven't seen a definite solution.

no but i believe this problem came up when using the official rosters. i don't think i've seen people have the problem using a custom roster. i definitely haven't.

So I have to create my rosters from scratch??? Like I did for Live 96??? Lol that stinks. Thanks for the info

there are tons of good custom rosters you can DL if you want.

I wonder if it's fouls. I saw A guy get 1 foul & he sat!! Whoever mentioned fouls may be right.

I think the CPU's substitution patterns are questionable. I was playing the Pistons against the Cavs, game 4 of round 1, Cavs are up two games to one. Fourth quarter I make a run with LBJ on the bench and I'm up 12 with 9 minutes to go. I keep expanding the lead and he keeps sitting. Finally with 4 minutes left in the game and down 16, he returns. I'm guessing that the CPU played his quota of minutes too early in the game or something. Also the CPU almost always tosses the scrubs who are set for 2 minutes into the game in the 4th quarter. Wouldn't it make more sense to give them minutes in the 2nd quarter? Most stars will always play the at least the last 8 minutes of the game, if not all 12.

Also as I said in another thread, the CPU tends to struggle to figure out how to give the right amount of minutes to combo position players. If you have someone like Ben Gordon scheduled to get 30 minutes off the bench, which requires Hamilton to move to SF and Prince to sometimes play PF, the CPU can't do it in played games. It works out right on sim games, but when I play the games, the CPU fails to manage the minutes right by sliding others to secondary positions to make the rotations work and you end up with a 6th man getting 10 minutes or so less than they should and a guy who plays a specific position getting 10 minutes more than they are set to get.

I would love to see the CPU leave in players who are hot, and adjust rotations for players that are playing well vs. guys having bad games. This would of course require an adjustment in the horribly simplistic player roles system, but it would make sense. Sometimes if a guy is having a bad game and his backup is hot, they'll go with the backup in the 4th quarter.

Ok I tried again. Roles off. I'm Denver against Utah. kirilenko picks up a foul. Immediately goes to the bench. Cj miles comes in. At this point I took control of Utah & committed intentional fouls. Miles gets a foul. He goes out replaced by Milsap a pf. He fouls & is replaced by Boozer!!!! Then I quit. Tried again with downloaded rosters. Same thing!!

That a glitch like this exists us absurd & ruins a pretty decent game!! I can't think of anything else to try. Can u cut foul out off? I've never played Game where players sit after 1 foul!! I had such high hopes!!

Try deleting your settings file... this really shouldn't be happening. Bosh played almost 40 minutes against me in my last Association game and he had 3 fouls before halftime.
