Yeah I know, many in here are already there. I just like to try and open eyes some days more than others.

I used to do that, too. I've always questioned why people choose to stay stuck in pessimism. It's not a perfect game, but all in all, this is the best 2k I've every played. And that's before Vann releases his playbooks.

But this is actually a legitimate gripe about the game. There is no way to neutralize the dunk animation once it starts.......which is a very serious issue in this game being how easy it is to get to the rim.

And not to call anyone a liar but i would honestly like to see a video of someone blocking a dunk......not from behind, not a layup, but a dunk where the defensive player has position in the paint with the offensive player running at them. I dont even think the animation is in the game. Ive played over a hundred games and im yet to see it once

Also I didn't know 2k was out for 20 years already, damn I must be getting really old. Sliders are there for a reason. #knowyourtoolsandusethem

Y'all can hate, but I quoted 2k directly in the last page about the shots/blocks. But I see no one wants to talk facts and would rather complain for the sake of it.

Learn how to play the game and use the tools given to you to tweak it to your liking before you consider it broke. Its just a game.

Yea I'm mad lol. It's unnecessary to get all ticked off of my "ignorant" post and write an essay about it lol. Just calm down and let the obvious flaw be fixed instead of trying to find a way to "protect" your beloved game.

Re: Just had my dunk blocked...

The way they have it 99.7 time the dunker will over power the would blocker that's too high. It needs to be tweaked slightly to about 92% it should be hard to do just not impossible. I remember in NBA live it was very easy to block dunks to the point were a simple jump shot around the basket was a higher percentage shot. NBA 2k11 had too many blocked dunks. I have watched basketball for over 25 years and coached basketball 9 times out of ten the dunker will win. This is why everybody and the grandmother dunked on Bradley and Manute bol. They were at a total disadvange attempting to block a dunk and basically only served to give an and 1 and make the dunk look nastier. Momentum is totally against the blocker so if they make contact before he touches the dunker's ball he is done. I remember once Harold Miner was going for a dunk and he saw Bradley coming from behind to block it he slowed waited for him to get in position and set and he switched it to his off hand (right) and crammed it all over him. It should be hard to do.

I ain't mad, so good neither of us is. Also that is not an essay, its literally 10-12 sentences if that constitutes an essay to you, okay whatever moving on.

"Protect" my beloved game, mmmkay. I play the game for what it is, I see some flaws, I see some things that can be corrected by the USER online and offline, but I don't see others correcting their game/gameplay and instead just complain cause the game is "broke".

You all say "bring back 2k11 dunk/block canimations" and all I am saying is that in 2011 all that y'all were saying was "omg, i keep getting sucked into a block by the CPU, omg the CPU is just canimation dunking on everyone omg 2k fix this". So which is it, no canimations or canimations? 2k moved on from canimations after the outcry, hence why we don't have some of those animations back yet. They still have not figured a way of blending them into the shot generator without major suction. That should be pretty obvious, but I digress and doubt you have any programming knowledge first hand. I could be wrong though.

Thanks, someone gets it. Blocking dunks does not happen every night every game every possession in the NBA so why should we be given the ability to do so? The NBA is the best of the best, it should be hard to stop an incoming dunk unless you have an extreme shot blocker and excellent positioning.

Very rarely do you see an Andre Miller going up and making a big play like that. D-Wade is the only guard I can think of at 720am that does it pretty regularly and then its still only a handful of times a season where he blocks a dunk at the rim. So just as I said earlier, its a catch 22, its either triggerable (meaning it can be abused) or its contextual (meaning right place, right player).

Let's just let JasonWilliams continue to think he knows what he's talking about and play developer. Don't forget suggesting sliders for any and every issue in the game like it's the cure-all end-all panacea to every problem.

Thats what sliders are for, why are you not using them?

You don't know me and you don't know my knowledge on the 2k series. I don't have to prove anything to you, I merely am trying to help with remedies, you can take them or leave them.

Also why come after me instead of talking about the facts? I posted the developer insight about this issue in this thread. But I still don't see you talking about that... wonder why.
