Seems about the same as last year for me (in terms of raw performance).

For people saying its the same its smoother then 2k13 and the euro step (B button) cheese is gone and you have to think a bit more, Shots dont go in as much as they did in 2k13 due to i had the timing down dang near to the t. Honestly i can say 2k did work on 14 and even tho it looks like current gen i can hang on to this untill 2k15 just honestly i dont see my self getting a console as of yet

Game plays fantastic so far. Have only played ~20 minutes (some in-game, some in practice mode) and the movement is greatly improved. It feels 'natural' and not forced like prior 2K games. Kind of hard to get used to the freestyle control and I've actually passed out of open layups/dunks (fancy passes) by holding the wrong combination. Still, looking like this year's 2K will be playable vs. CPU and not just against my friends.

So we're getting a fully functional 2k13 with solid gameplay?
Is the gameplay tight like 2k11?

I might get this cheap jiust to kill some time before next gen hits,
