*~*~*~Official Houston Rockets Thread~*~*~*

Why not, theres like 50 "official" threads as is...

We're NOT off to a great start. Do you think we can turn it around or is this 0-2 start a sign of things to come?

Well Sacramento is down 0-2 right now. We just need to play better and start hitting our shots. I'm not liking JVG's gameplan that much and Yao needs to grow a set of balls and put some super glue on his hands.

Overall, too early to be pessimistic.

If the Rockets 2 lost games to East teams were any indication of the future, than I feel sorry for them when they play West teams.

Anyways, I think this team needs a little bit more time to gel. T-Mac and Yao dont seem to show the chemistry of a succesful team just yet. But its plenty of time for that to happen. Everyone is looking lost out there and where are the boards? They were killed by Detroit and also were molested on the glass by the Raps.

I think it will be one of those deals where the Rockets start off slow to get our chemistry together, and I won't even panic if we are a sub .500 team at the end of this calendar year..........

But when the Rockets finally learn to play together and chemistry naturally improves on the squad, I think they very well may have the best record in games played after the All-Star break and sneak in as a 4 or 5 seed. If the Rockets are hovering around .500 at the end of this calendar year, we should gain some momentum soon. After the Dec. 9th game, as a matter of fact, is when the Rockets should start their run, as they can win 8 of those last 10 games in the month and take that momentum into 2005.

I'm still optimistic......

Gotta love the haters. You say two east teams like one of them wasn't the defending champion detroit pistons in their arena on opening night/pistons ring ceremony. They aren't just an "east team", they are arguable THE BEST team in the game, so that L doesn't phase me. Whats really sad is it was close only because the role players were shining like crazy, its the supposed leaders Mac and Yao who couldn't knock down shots to get us the W. If Yao and Mac woulda played just half as good as theyre capable of we wouldve won, cause the role players were doing there thing.

Well... I think the Rockets need to get T-mac involved early in the game instead of just relying on him to make baskets to keep the game close or to make a come back. They fell behind against the pisons and T-mac hardly touched the ball in the 1st quarter, and took like maybe 2 shots.... that won`t cut it!

For this team to win ballgames, T-mac needs to score early and often!
