Lightbulb Re: Official Detroit Pistons Thread

Hehe, that Rasheed Wallace quote is hilarious. That quote had me cracking up when I first read that in the Detroit News a few days ago.

Anyway, the Pistons have simplified the offense and become far less predictable. The versatility of this team is amazing. This club have several different players who can post up, several players who can midrange shots, several different players who can kill the opposition with 3-pt shots in transition and while running half-court sets. The Pistons can exploit matchups like no other team. And they are running a lot more often now. Defensively they are forcing a lot of turnovers and are getting a out lot more fast break opportunities. The acquisitions of Antonio McDyess and Carlos Arroyo are paying great dividens now. And wait until Carlos Delfino comes back healthy and get more comfortable with the Pistons offense and defensive schemes. I honestly don't know what analysts are seeing saying the bench was better last year. I really don't see it.

And it's being reported that the Pistons are looking to get Dale Davis provided that the Hornets choose to immediately buy out his contract and allow him to become a few agent before it's too late. He would be a good player to have to fill in the role Elden Campbell, who obviously can't return to the Pistons (thanks to the cockblockers *cough*... Nets).

Nice tough road win yesterday. Last year when Rip and Chauncey didnt score we were in trouble. Now with Tay stepping up it doesnt matter, our forwards can lead the way!

Re: Official Detroit Pistons Thread

what's scary is that the Pistons are also a team that's really built for the playoffs...it's looking really good for them now, I was slightly worried back in Dec/Jan. Pending upsets, looks like a probable Detroit/Miami finals, maybe we can earn respect beating Shaq again.

Wow, we are getting Elden back and we were on fire last night. It was funny to see Sheed play the crowd like that. The offensive balance continues to amaze me. Who do you stop? Thursday should be fun.

Elden paid 500,000 to NJ so he could be released and picked up by the Pistons. Shows how much he wants to play and win, and I like the pickup. The other name I was hearing was Don Reid, who hasn't played ball in 2 years, not my first choice.

I read on ESPN Insider that the Pacers and Pistons are both interested in signing Dale Davis, now that he's been waived by the Hornets. Not sure if this is void now that Elden's back in the fold... but they're always looking to pick up some Shaq insurance.

By the way, is anyone else just loving Tayshaun this year? I would consider him a front runner for Most Improved, personally. Everything he does is terrific.
