Yeah I saw that exact play that you're talking about. It's funny you say he'll be Christie's replacement, because he looks like him too.

Now that you say it, if he shaved his head they'd almost look exactly alike. I hope he becomes just as good a defensive player like his mentor (that's what he said anyway).

Good game from the Kings so far. 18 point lead and everyone's playing great. Special mention to Mike Bibby, who's getting close to achieving his 2nd career triple-double. Also, great block on LeBron's shot. He got up HIGH!

Re: Official SacTown Kings Thread

Great game from the Kings! All 5 starters were in double-figures and every player on the bench scored. Notable stats, 54% from the field (50-93), 48% from 3 (12-25), and 34 assists. Bibby had a great game by going for a triple-double and Webber almost matched him with only 3 assists shy of a TD. Peja was back, Miller was perfect from the field, and Mobley was shooting just like the last 2 games he had.

Defensively, I think we did a good job tonight. They went after loose-balls, rebounded, and kept the Cavs' main guys in check. In turn, it led to their highest point total of the season by scoring 123. If they play with this kind of effiency for most of their games, the Kings could be the best team in the league. And they don't even have Jackson back yet.

Half-game closer to PHX........

Re: Official SacTown Kings Thread

*sigh*

We could have won that game but clearly, we were lacking. No one scored over 20 and our bench just sucked tonight. Not having Peja out there hurt us but we kept the game close for the most part. They just didn't execute. One glaring thing in the game though was the Kings' interior defense. Manu and Parker were just going in and out and they were hardly stopped.

I guess I'd rather have all our bad games in the regular season than in the playoffs. Jackson, heal faster! He's becoming the Vince Carter of sixth-men in the league!

Webber for the 3! OVERTIME!

Alot of people have said C-Webb disappears in clutch situations but lately, he's been developing.

LET'S GO KINGS! LET'S GO KINGS!

Re: Official SacTown Kings Thread

Great and exciting win for the Kings. We almost lost that game but that Webber (30 pts.) THREE! saved us. We also survived the T-Mac attack and Padgett's flurry of threes. Bibby (28 pts.) was penetrating, which was excellent since he got to the line 13(?) times and he dropped 14 dimes, a season high. Mobley (24 pts) made some key buckets, notably the three that tied it in OT and the one for the lead. Miller (19 pts.) was also hustling, grabbing boards, and continued his strong shooting the past 4 games.

This is a great bounce back win from last night. Next up, T'Wolves. I don't think we've beaten them yet this year and getting a win over them will get some of that bad taste from last year's playoffs out of our mouths.

Re: Official SacTown Kings Thread

Great win for Sacramento. No Webber and Peja, no problem. Playing from behind starting the 3rd, the 3 (Bibby, Miller, Mobley) really stepped it up big time. They bounced back from an awful first-half and took the game from Minny. Miller was a beast going for 27 points and 15 boards. Bibby finished with 21 points and 8 assists and Mobley with 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.

I like this win because they showed some gritiness out there. They were without two of their main guys but they managed to get a win. Minny always seems to have the Kings' number when they meet and coming into this game winning 5 straight, it was obviously huge for us to get this win.

Up next, Seattle. Time to avenge that 108-78 loss back in November.
