Okay, great! I'll admit that I wasn't aware of the 69 player limit. I guess I just assumed that they would allow as many players as each team really has. Guess that was sort of foolish to think though Believe me, I respect what all the roster guys do, and it is sad that you're the only one that seems to be doing complete rosters for the 360. Used to be I'd come on here for rosters and there would be 10 different ones to choose from, and ten different threads with a poll asking which was the best to get. So thanks DK for all the work, I'm going to download them tonight and give it a shot. As long as the bug doesn't affect them, then they should be great.

If you use DK's as a base you can't create players since he used FK's pre-patch roster. I'd just take EArosters com as the base and edit from there.

I must choose my words wisely, because I really enjoy being a part of this community, and in no way do I want to offend the likes of DK, who has graciously spent much of his personal time to help out the rest of us...however, I feel this is just a philosophical difference.

I am definitely not one that looks at these rosters as intellectual property/art. I feel they are free to everyone, hence the point of this whole commmunity, right? I had absolutely NO intention of selling anything, so please don't ever compare me to DT Linder again. Isn't the point to consistently build off of eachother to better serve the masses? You (DK) did so much work and we are all grateful...but to call it "stealing" if someone downloads your publicly distributed roster and edits it better serve a portion of the users who prefer a more detailed roster (you said yourself you care little about equipment, etc...) is just selfish.

Also, to have these threads locked, completely undermines the point of this community in the first place! I would have prefered to discuss this with DK in his roster thread, but it was locked. People wanted this thread locked before I even had a chance to respond to all the wrongful accusers who derride my efforts to help out the rest of the community. I feel like we're revisiting Napster days...this sort of attitude is why the development of the video game industry has stagnated.

For the record, if it is some OS rule than I will certainly abide by it. Also, I did not mean to "belittle" DK's work. I greatly appreciate what he has done, and was merely pointing out the shortcomings of his most recent roster IMO (sorry if that came off as being derisive).

Like i said- I cannot stop you from using the rosters however you wish but dont' you think its kinda crappy to do the exact opposite of what i specifically said? Especially, when all my work was free and its not like i have to share it. Its not the communities rosters, its my roster and again the only i ask for its people to not use it as the base of their rosters, and for christsakes i am/was still working on them.

Do you really see nothing wrong with that? Why would i ever do rosters and share them again? Or why would anyone? if someone is just going to come along and repost them with their changes against their permisson.

It is truly insulting that you would called the person who did all this work selfish for not wanting you to work on them. You wouldn't even have them to use if i was selfish. If anyone is selfish its you, your going against my wishes with my roster. I still cannot believe you called me selfish in this scenario.

You can take it to the bank that the 360 crowd will never get another roster set from me again. Remember that next year when no one is working on 360 rosters.

300+ hours to be treated like complete **** because i was nice enough to share- This board is clearly going down the tubes.

dkrause,

I really appreciate your work on the 360 rosters, and I know most others on here do as well. Your rosters are great. There will always be ingrates in this world, and don't let it get to you. I once gave a homeless man a meal I bought him and he complained about what was in it, then threw it to the ground. That is human nature unfortunately. You give them something for free, and then they complain anyway. Unfortunately, I see people getting more and more like this, and I am not sure why.

Re: NEW NCAA '09 (360) Roster Undertaking Post-Patch

Well there goes our rosters being that FK is Dead here and DKs rosters are the only xbox 360 rosters that are better than decent

whos going to do them next year

this all couldve been avoided if you
(a) just started from scratch and respected DKs wishes
(b) not have even started the thread in the first place
but whatever

I don't care if he complained, i care that he is taking them to repost with his crap. The kicker is i would have just given them to him after this weekend if he would have PMed me asking for permission. Instead he just doesn't give a rats *** what i think.
