If Bama can get 8 newbies rated this high, then why can't Nebraska (#1 scoring defense last year) get their 5 new starters at least an A-???

That's robbed. Tuberville style.

Seriously, where did you read that? Because from the subject of the thread, as well as what many of the roster editors have said, WE ARE NOT TOUCHING RATINGS. The only rating edits we are doing is when we have to change a person into someone else.

Channeling Mike Gundy here: get your facts straight.

First year starters should be rated in the 80s. The only players in the 90s should be all-conference or All-American types. EA should come up with some kind of team rating, that allows those first year starters to progress quicker, as if they have been coached up. Sure, schools like Bama will recruit elite talent, and have the coaching staffs to make them All-SEC or pro prospect. But if they haven't done it yet, they shouldn't be rated ahead of returning starters in the conference, and throughout the country.

i don't know dude Alabama's pretty loaded
look at the past recruiting classes they are sick
alabama's got guys riding the bench who are straight up freaks and they will have another top 5 defense this year
don't get too carried away
They got future superstars that a lot of people have never even heard of yet like Marcel Dareus, Mark Barron, Donte Hightower, Nico Johnson, etc...
Oh and don't forget about Dre Kirkpatrick, the kids incredibly talented
This is an ALABAMA D non the less run by NICK SABAN
(I know you probably hate hearing this judging by your user name but it's the truth)

On one of the pages earlier in this thread someone stated that they were "fixing" Bamas defense. Deal with it, you didnt make the game so leave the ratings alone, its all based on an opinion anyway. Just figures that my favorite team Bama is finally the best in the game and people are bitching.

Couple points

-Here here! Cant stress the above enough - ITS A GUESSING GAME! im sure they try to be educated guesses, You cant get all 8000+ players right. Some guys are hyped, some get hosed. You wanna change your ratings, on your game GOOD. Do it. I wont download a roster with edited skills though. Who is to say your pyschic powers are better than EAs? Dont kid yourself, lets just see how the season progresses and update as things ACTUALLY HAPPEN, not freak over preseason bitching.

All indications are these 'new' bama defenders are Physically bigger, faster, and stronger than the All americans they are replacing. Its true they are not proven YET. EA clearly gambled that the mental aspects will click.

- Most of all, what gets my goat in this thread is the idea that a "first year starter cant be rated highly". Its moronic. Oh im sorry, Kirkpatrick cant be rated highly because he sat last year (behind a FIRST TEAM ALL AMERICAN?!). BJ Scott cant be rated highly because he sat BEHIND THE 20TH OVERALL PICK IN THE NFL DRAFT?). oOOOOH So josh Chapman cant be rated high (despite benching 500lbs and being quicker than the ALL AMERICAN he is replacing?)

Lots of reasons guys dont "start", but it doesnt mean they arent elite themselves.
