I probably should have done teams from the same year at the same time so people could match them up sooner, but then it would be too tempting to play with them instead of working on the roster. I've been matching up cpu vs. cpu games every couple of days but I wont test rivals against each other. I just dont want to know who wins until its completely done. Let me know how the matchup plays out!!

Played the game earlier and it came out much like the original match up. Basically a defensive battle with Penn State leading 10-7 in the 4th. With 3 minutes and change remaining the tigers were across the 50 facing a 3rd and long. McMillan had been pressured all day by Reid and Smears, so we tried a screen pass to Joe Moore. Moore broke a tackle by a Penn state LB behind the line, then two Missouri blockers gave GREAT down field blocks with Moore threading his way between them for a 45 yard TD and a 14-10 tier lead! Mizzou's defense yielded 2 first downs. But with time running out and Penn State at the Missouri 22 the tigers broke up two end-zone passes. On third down Penn state used a screen of their own to move to the Missouri 14. The 4th down play (under 30 seconds left in the game) saw the tiger line shred the Penn State blockers and the tigers swarmed the quarterback under to preserve the victory! What a wonderful and satisfying game !!!! (I can't believe I actually won one for a change).

Glad you won, you've been waiting a lot of years to avenge that loss!!! Sounds like I did pretty good on those two...Just finished up 1985 Iowa and tested them against the 1996 Florida team. Wuerffel was awful for Gators and Long was unbelievable for Iowa. Never seen a more surprising outcome....Iowa won 56-24!!! Gonna test them again before I update.

Updated the roster and made a change. 1969 Ole Miss was just too small in the lines to make a decent team so changed them to 2003. Teams added:

1983 Illinois
1972 Utah State
2003 Ole Miss
