Re: EA's Slider Code for actual player ratings

ok,

I just played Texas (me) vs OU (CPU).

Playmaker..the stats look very nice for OU. Nice balance of pancakes on both sides, nice passing stats, etc....

But where is the defense?

I beat OU 54-38 on 7 min quarters.

Here are the numbers...
OU Texas
Score 38 54
First Downs 18 24
Total Offense 430 575
Rushes-Yards 44-210 54-506!
Comp-Att-TD 11-23-1 3-8-0
Passing Yards 220 69
Sacks 5 6
Turnovers 1 4
Fumbles-lost 1-1 4-2
Intercepted 0 1
TOP 14:41 13:19

Now the pancakes were almost dead even, the OU stats look very nice, etc.

But it is almost insane how easy it was to run against OU. I'm talking, even with a noticeable speed deficit at Human run of 25, Selvin Young carried 25 times for 211 yards and 2 TDs and Vince Young carried 27 times for 294 yards and 4 TDs.

This is the problem that we face on AA. Even though the stats seem "even" with good teams, etc. It just seems to me that the CPU will always get their butts handed to them in the end.

And having an OU Texas game with a score of 54-38 on 7 min quarters screams to me that some tweaking on either A)run blocking or B) CPU D awareness and break block need to be addressed.

But I will say again..the stats looked very nice and even I definitely saw a huge difference in the domination on the lines between Texas Baylor and Texas OU. But as you can see....I think more tweaking is needed.

Keep it up. I'm hoping someone can find some AA sliders that really work and yours seem the closest yet.

Back to Heisman for now I guess.

Re: EA's Slider Code for actual player ratings

ive been using the first set for a couple games now and im pretty damn impressed. started up my michigan dynasty, lost to northern illinois as a direct result of me making stupid passes and getting picked off. hart is putting up some impressive numbers, 160 in that game and 140 in my last game, a win vs nebraska, but im comfortable with those, ill see what happens when i get into the meat of my schedule if that success can continue or not. just wanted to say nice work man, its much appreciated.

Re: EA's Slider Code for actual player ratings

I'm gonna give these a try now and I'll report back on my findings. I'm interested to find out more abotu the 25 RB Ability vs. a 45 RB ability.

I'm gonna play with Reggie Bush vs. a good team and then vs. a bad team, and see if there truly is a difference given the 25 Slider setting.

Re: EA's Slider Code for actual player ratings

Ok if guy's are running too easy vs the CPU the simple solution is to just drop RUN BLK Slider for human or increase TKL Slider and BRK BLK Slider for CPU.

For instance without straying to much away from the formula which is basically keep all CPU skill players at Default 50 and CPU AWR at 50. Do then can do what ever you want accept put HUman QB over 50, Human RB over 50 or WR over 50.

If you are running too good try RB ABLTY at 25 with RUN BLK at 40

You coul even try 35/35, 20/45, 25/45, 30/40, or even 25/35

IF the CPU is scoring too many points on you increase Human AWR to 30-35, if they are passing all over you put Human KDWNS up to 75-99

There are so many possibilities within this sliders aslong as you don't stray to far away from my base sets. For instance Human AWR at 30 or 35 with everything else exactly as is could solve problems for guy's who are having trouble stopping the pass. If you want to boost up CPU's Defense jack everything up to 99% just don't touch AWR and don't max out your QB, WR or RB slider.

I'll test 25/40 tonight but basically going up on BRK BLK slider and TCKL slider should slow down the human players who feel they are rushing for too many yards. I try too keep everything within 25-50% for Human because that makes the game more fluid on AA level.

Re: EA's Slider Code for actual player ratings

OK here's an example of a guy testing my sliders for two games. He used NIU versus a lower rated team Ball ST and then NIU versus a Heavy weight team Tennessee. He does a great job of breaking down games when dissecting Sliders for test play. As you can see it is very possible to get parity play with these sliders. All teams aren't equal and better players stand out if you leave everyone at their intended ability. That means all WR's, QB's and RB's on offense for CPU at 50. The CPU defense if AWR is left at 50 will play to their actual player ratings. Some guy's are just flat out good and Heisman might be the only way they can play the game. I just don't think it's possisble to bring actual ratings into the game on Heisman because there's a hidden cheat. Every guy is getting boosted up.

Well here's a close look at his report without changing anything for the two games.

Game1 with 7min AA sliders. BSU is C overall; NIU is B overall
Ball St. at NIU (me):
