This is exactly why we need an accelerated clock like Madden has.

Because no one wants to play one game of football for an entire day

Stats and score would simply be completely unrealistic. I get perfect stats at 7 minute quarters. Sometimes, even with 7 minutes, I can get too many stats (pass-happy teams can usually reach 50 pass attempts in just 7 min quarters)

Re: Is there a reason nobody plays 15 minute quarters?

I think this question has been essentially answered. I've played 15 minute quarters on NCAA football games in the past, mostly for the heck of it, but not in the past few years. I always play 7 minute quarters and that takes ~45 minutes to finish.

But that is still realistic. Irl "pass happy" teams will throw 50+ times in a game.

Is there a reason you play 15 minute quarters?

Personally, I'd rather not play a game that ends with a score of 176-124 and one that takes a half a day to complete.

Re: Is there a reason nobody plays 15 minute quarters?

I personally see the sweet spot as somewhere between 8 and 9 min quarters (and most college games actually run about 125-130 plays, I believe, slightly more than the NFLs 120), but yeah, in NCAA, 15 quarters are ridiculous, simply because the game clock in NCAA does not run off realistically.

If NCAA had realistic game clocks and accel clocks like Madden, you could play 15 min quarters easily.
