Practice Mode. Get comfortable with the pressure and find some rhythm with your running game. Learn about your flaws and work on it. Also, check my "In-Game Tips" in the first post in this thread.

I am playing with Toledo in my online dynasty and I got spanked by Boise State, 45-13, which is about right.

And I am still undefeated in MAC play with Central Michigan left to play, which is the best MAC team. I've been playing NCAA since NCAA 99, I believe. I'm pretty experienced at this whole football video game thing, haha.

Great sliders, but I'm unable to get any pancakes whatsoever. Maybe the occasional pancake from a WR, but that's it. Anybody else having this issue?

That's a part of reducing Run Block, sadly. Although, when I play Wisconsin vs Houston, Wiscy's offensive line was mauling their defensive line so it was great. I wouldn't worry too much about pancakes since it doesn't happen THAT often. It definitely happens more in video game than in real football on default.

I'd rather see nice engaged blocks, rather than 3 out of 4 DLs flat on their asses after a snap, haha. That just seems silly. This happened to me on default, by the way.

Yeah, I agree. Just makes it hard to get All-Americans and top-notch recruits on the O-line. Regardless, I'm enjoying these. Thanks duder.

BenGerman's Tweaks for v4.1 - Already included in v4.1 down below

50 for WR Catching (HUM/CPU)
50 for HUM RB Ability for true ability rating (no penalty)
60 for HUM RB Ability for stronger/smarter CPU HBs (rather than more missed tackles)
40 for HUM Tackling (stronger CPU Ability will allow us to be able to tackle better now)

I personally dropped Run Blocking down to 25 since we can run at our true ability so it won't be TOO easy.
Thanks for the shout out SN. Just played a game with these sliders with the exception of the CPU RB Ability at 50, and CPU Run Block at 85, and got torched by John Clay (Wisconsin) on the ground. Here are the stats in case you are interested.

Final Score
Wisconsin- 14
at
Michigan State-24

Stats

Running Game
39 Carries, 221 Yards, 2 TD's
36 Carries, 189 Yards, 2 TD's

Passing Game
11-17, 132 Yards, 0 TD's, 1 INT
15-24, 201 Yards, 1 TD, 2 INt's

Game In Review: This may have been the best game of NCAA I've played yet. The two biggest factors to my win were the run game, and a INT returned for 6. I think what I'm going to do is probably take the same route you did here and toughen up the Human run game a bit. Not entirely sure how I kept them from scoring like I did, but this is how it turned out. It was indeed nearly perfect. I personally like the boost in Run Blocking for the CPU and the Run Ability (CPU) at default, but I've expressed this before. I'd rather see their O-Line be a factor in tearing my Defense up, then having the CPU have to rely on the extra speed boost they get from the Run Ability.

As always, keep up the good work, and I'll be hanging around your thread to post more stats and such.

Not a fan of the new sliders at all. I'm playing Rutgers vs. Rutgers, and I'm getting killed. They can run and pass the ball at will, I can do neither.

It seems like you may have struggled more than me with run defense. I personally did really well with my run defense so I may have overachieved with a team that shouldn't be THAT good with run defense. I do a lot of manual skill moves so that really helps.

That comes with "No House Rules" philosophy, which makes it easier on most players that just want to have fun and play the game without worrying about following the house rules, along with having some realism in their games.
