Re: N51_Rob's Heisman Sliders

Just played a really fun game. I was Clemson at Maryland. This game was silly good fun. On the road, Maryland jumped out early 14-0. Their QB was on fire. Him and Ronnie Tyler almost single handedly sunk me. Tyler had 6 receptions for 118 yards and 2 TDs. I was struggling offensively. I was moving the ball, but couldn't put drives together. Maryland's other weapon Davin Megget had 94 rushing yards on 19 carries. He was tough to bring down and quite nimble.

So how in the world did I win this game 24-21. Well I knocked out Maryland's QB who at the time was 10 of 12 for 198 yards and 2 TDs. I must say that it was a legit passing day. I blew a coverage which lead to one of the long TDs. Anyways once UMD's QB's went down I started to make a few plays on special teams. This game was won on a kick-off return and a punt return. That is pretty much it. MD gave up one deep passing TD on a blown coverage.

Such a fun game. Everything felt good except the penalties. I need to tune those some more. Each of us missed FG's from beyond 40 yards. So I may give FGP and Punt Power a boost, but not all college kickers can hit the long one.

I think the most promising news for me was the fact that I was able to run with a spread team. Andre Ellington had 81 yards on 18 carries. Running out of Clemson's default playbook which has Numerous shot-gun formations, 2 Ace formations and 1 Piston Formation (Which is a lot of fun). So I was quite pleased with this stat.

I think that I need to try to work on substitution settings next. Should see more carries for the secondary RBs.

Here are some of the screen of stats.

Re: N51_Rob's Heisman Sliders

Rob, I am still using our OS Legends Heisman sliders, but put tackling at 45 for both sides and it does open up the animations even moreso.

In played three games last night (8 minute qtrs) and had a blast with tackling at 45. No RB went all Robo Bo Jackson either. Had some really cool tackle, broken tackle and missed tackle animations occur last night.

Thanks for recommending the slight tweak to tackling.

Also, you need to tone down the penalties. Specifically, holding, clipping and roughing the passer. I would suggest 54, 55 and 59 on each of those right now.

Re: N51_Rob's Heisman Sliders

Just played West Va. @ Cincinnati (me) and I won 28-14. WVU's offense was dominating my defense, but they would either stall or I would come up with a turnover. Meanwhile, my offense was meh for the most part, but we would pull out a big play to score. I had 43 carries for 133 yds, but we had two big sacks and one big run. WVU really couldn't get the run going, but Geno Smith went 24-39 and 2 TDs, but had 3 INTs. The game felt how it should (I got most of the breaks) and it was fun.

WVU's Kicker missed a 29 yds from the left hash (he is a 86 rating) and this is after I upped power to 40 (it was the only FG attempted in the game).

I used J-Unit's suggestions for penalties and there were 8 total (6 for WVU, 2 for Cincy) and they were most Holding/Facemask.

Lastly, I had Sub Out/In for RB at 80/85 and Pead had 31 carries while Darrin had 3. I'm going to try 85/90 in this next game.

I had a good game going last night between Michigan and Notre Dame, but the game froze on me. I might try these again later this afternoon.

Re: N51_Rob's Heisman Sliders

Played 2 really good games last night. Before I post my results I will post the only changes that I have made.
First here are my penalties.
Offsides 100
False Start 100
Holding 52
Facemask 57
OPI 100
DPI 100
KRI 100
Clip 54
Int gr 100
Rough pass 55
Rough kick 65

The only slider changes that I have made is hum pass rush up to 60 because I was having a hard time generating a pass rush. 60 does the trick for me and its not overpowered. I also upped fg pwr for both sides to 45.

My stats
Army(me) 14
Wisconsin 42
This game was a huge struggle which it should be. I came close to getting stops but Wisconsin would always pull off a play.

Army
29 carries 93 yards
4-6 passing 49 yards sacked 1 time
Returned opening kickoff for touchdown
8 penalties 73 yards

Wisconsin
24 carries 207 yards
13-22 passing 190 yards 0 sacks
6-8 on 3rd downs
3 penalties 20 yards

Next game I was Va Tech vs Marshall. Marshall kept it close early with the score 14-10 late in the first half. I eventually wore them down and won big 48-17. That's exactly how the game felt like my team just wore them down.

Stats
Va Tech(me)48
Marshall 17

Va Tech
36 carries 246 yards
8-17 passing 140 yards 1 int sackeds 1 time
3 penalties 22 yards

Marshall
34 carries 77 yards
12-22 passing 236 yards 3 int sacked 3 times
4 penalties 27 yards.
