Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14

Went back to these sliders, and man it's way different than my last experience.

Things of note: (using Michigan)

- I cannot stop the run at all. Every RB I've faced, no matter the school, is going to run for over 100 yards on me. I've got studs on the DL but their OL guys are playing at an NFL level.

- No huddle offenses are complete cheese. No way around it. More of a game problem than the sliders.

- My pass defense is horrible too. WRs are getting separation way more often and my secondary isn't bad either. There are some beautiful picks here and there, but I've gotten burned by subpar receivers.

I may sound like I am complaining, which I am, but these are some things that happen in every single game I play. Don't get me wrong, I love the way it plays. Maybe I just suck at defense, who knows. I could use some help too.

These sliders are specially designed to reflect Michigan's sucktitude

Go Bucks!!!

Seriously....use the coaching adjustments to your advantage and don't forget to use run/pass commit liberally. Also play close attention to the individual ratings of your DBs...if they're better in zone...play zone (and vice versa). The run is intentionally designed to be very tough to stop...it may be a bit overkill and a tad unrealistic at times, but it's really the best way to allow for the CPU to really light-up the user on the ground like they do in college games.

Not cool man lol.

I usually have a different style in Madden compared to NCAA, and it's kind of hard to go back to no-switch. The no-huddle offenses are killing me, but eventually I'll find a way to stop it. As for the running game, I'm going to have to invest in more run stoppers.

Appreciate the help as always!

Re: 50(ish) Threshold-based Slider Set for NCAA 14

Sorry for the double post, but I've got some more questions.

- Do you have to use the stick more often while passing? On 5 my QB is crazy inaccurate, which hurts because I do a lot of quick passes and he misses wide open receivers.

- You mentioned the CPU running game being a little OP at times. If I were to try to change the sliders to make it "less OP", would I lower the RB ability?

- This could be due to my OL being more run-blocking oriented, but is there a way to at least get more time in the pocket? I only get at least 1.5-2 seconds before the defense is on me, and that really sucks. Should I use Slide Protection more often?

Thanks in advance!

- Yes, use the stick and really vary the pressure you put on the controller button when passing. Also, make sure your QB's feet are set before throwing.
- No, just raise the User TAK 5 or 10 points...that will soften some of those over-the-top busted runs.
- Slide protection...slide protection....slide protection....absolutely a must. If your O-line is run oriented, it is even more important.

JoshC1977,

I really love your sliders to this game! I have a question though. Have you ever played Madden 12? Would the penalty and User/CPU sliders work similar (as in how the defense and offense operates) to that game as to NCAA 14 or would they totally different because it's pro football and a different game?

The premise of each individual slider and how they work is likely the same. However, I cannot vouch for how these individual settings would work for that particular game....it has been ages since I have played it.
