Re: How is your dynasty going

UF dynasty I haven't played a game yet.

Baylor dynasty I won 45-21 against FCS MW, who was very surprisingly resistant on defense. I just got the game, apparently the FCS schools can keep up with FBS WRs now....

Houston dynasty I'm starting against FCS SE. Question: How does sprinting work in this game? Do you hold down the trigger, or tap it repeatedly? Or something else?

Re: How is your dynasty going

Kentucky HC:

2016-17 - 12-2 (7-2): We won our first game against Ohio 28-7 that made us the 24th best team in the country. We then beat Louisville 32-16 in a game where Boom Williams rushed for 163 yards. Boom had his second straight 100 yard game against Army 28-3 that put us as the 20th best team. We then lost to 6 Florida 24-21 when they made a last second field goal. We then beat South Carolina 49-17 at home. We also beat Alabama 20-10. After that we won a huge game 14-7 against 22 Mississippi State that bumped is up to 14th in the coaches poll. We won another SEC game when we beat Missouri 24-14 on the road. We then beat Vanderbilt 42-3 in a game where our third string RB Mikel Horton ran for 97 yards and 5 TDs. This bumped us up to 9th In the coaches poll. We then beat an awful BYU team 35-25 in a game where Mikel got around 90 more yards. We then won our biggest game of the year against 1 Georgia 50-48. It took us multiple overtimes and a lot of luck to win, but we somehow did. This bumped is up to third in the nation (behind Ohio State and Georgia Tech) and made me a coach of the year finalist. We then beat 12 Tennessee 28-21 in a very close game on the road. This was the last game of our 11-1 regular season. After that, we lost 17-14 to 6 LSU in the SEC Championship. They were obviously the better team, and we just had too many turnovers. This put us in the Outback Bowl against 14 Minnesota which we won 28-6. We ended as the 6th best team in the country. Georgia Tech beat Ohio State 24-21 in the National Championship. Jason Hatcher was drafted in the third round. Brett Bielema was fired as HC of Arkansas and he became my DC. Boom Williams is now 98 OVR, while Drew Barker is 91 OVR. Our recruiting class was one of the best in the nation, and we got 4 4 star players. We were 10th in the preseason rankings. I redshirted all three of our freshman RBs and four WRs.

Re: How is your dynasty going

Was HC at Marshall for 8 years. Played in bowl games in all of them. Won the National Title in the 7th year. Had big expectations for the following year only to get to the Orange Bowl and lose.
I felt it was time to move on as my contract expired and Marshall wanted to bring me back but I was looking for a bigger challenge. So I took the job at TCU.
Things did not go well. I signed a 5 year deal. But I was fired after year 3 as I just couldn't get the team to perform in the Big 12. 0 bowl games and records of 3-9, 4-8 and 4-8. I really wanted to see things through to the end of the deal as I thought was was starting to get some better recruits. The cupboards were dry when I came in. But that's no excuse. I couldn't win and the rest is history.

So the following year I got many offers from big schools but they were only coordinator jobs. I thought about taking a couple of them but my heart was in a Head Coaching position so I took an offer from Texas Tech. Their team is really struggling as it was just coming off a 1 win season.

Currently I am 1-2 with losses to West Virginia and my old school, TCU to open up the season. Finally got my first win of the year against Texas State with a 21 point comeback win, 35-31

Re: How is your dynasty going

So I blew it! I was sitting at 4-0, sitting just outside the top 25 playing at Memphis, probably the toughest game of the year for my Houston dynasty, and it was as much of a shootout as I expected. Despite having the worst passing outing of the year so far, I basically was able to get 5 yards minimum every time I gave Kenneth Farrow the ball. It was 42-42 when the 4th ended and I scored on the first drive. Memphis scored on their first play in OT. Then they kicked a FG on the ensuing drive, and when I got the ball I was again getting whatever I wanted with Farrow.

Then I went crazy. Against my inner voice I called a WR triple option, and the unblocked DE went for Farrow. Unfortunately, there were 2 guys that bolted into the backfield and hit Ward Jr. I semi-panicked and pressed for a lateral, only to fumble and have Memphis pick it up. GJ Feddy. Fortunately, Ward Jr. is still in the Heisman running, and in fact his stock went up despite losing and having his lowest passing outing of the year.

Hectic overtime games. The fun meeting the frustration. I lost a national title to Tennessee with my PS2 Temple dynasty one time ****ing with the sliders. My back fumbled and that was that. Heartbreak

Re: How is your dynasty going

3-0 #1 UGA after a 41-38 triple OT win over LSU. This week we travel to the Autzen Zoo to play #9 Oregon. My number 1 tailback, who ran for 1031 as a sophomore backup is injured since the first week of the season. His backup is doing admirably. Trying to run a power-run spread offense. No luck recruiting fullbacks but they're not central to the offensive design as of current conception.

Coach mode or playing? Just curious. Anytime I see a truly realistic dynasty it makes me wanna give Kudos. I would say mine never stack up to what I'm talking about, because even if it does take me awhile, the outcome is pretty predictable (successful coach). I haven't won a title in a dynasty in a really long time though.
