So I get the whole choose a roster base for a team in the same state but what do you get in dynasty (pipeline wise) when you select one of the generic templates? Does it default to the state of the school you're creating?

Also, what does matching the brand actually do in game with the created uniforms?

I believe if you use the "cupcake" roster base it will have all of your players and primary recruiting state from California, so whatever states are tied to that base as pipelines, im not too sure.

Accessories, will have the branding on them.

The reason we dont include what roster base we used for each team we create is because its not important to the final product of this project because we completely re-rate and alter everything about that roster base. The sole purpose for chosing a roster base is to have accurate hometowns(in a sense) for the players and recruits for Dynasty mode. If you're trying to recreate your own version of a team that we have already done, I would recommend what i mentioned previously is that you choose a roster either in the same state or close to that state and then you tweak it to your liking. So here is an example that I hope can help you out:
Lets say you are creating "Alabama State" and obviously you know that you will need a roster from Alabama. Its always best to choose a roster from the weakest team from that state(if multiple FBS teams reside there) so you dont have to alter as much. You also have to consider what name brand they wear to factor into your choice as well, this info can be found in the handbook detailed in the first post. In this scenario I would choose the roster for UAB because if chose Alabama or Auburn it would take way too much time to lower the ratings of pretty much every player on the roster.

No worries, dont worry about Villanova because I was going to update them anyways, I have created them for the past 2 years, so i have a pretty solid base to update from.
