Re: How's Your Career Doing?

I started an English one and am trying to make literally the best team i can. I think i have pretty much done it, ive gotten all the players i wanted and fit them under the cap which was a major achievement. Heres the Vikings Roster.

QB: Cooper Reno 97
RB: James Hutton 89 (Had Leron but traded him so i could complete the team plus he wasnt performing)
WR: Jemarrion Bellows (96), Jamelle Lucas (94), QuSean Mack (91)
TE: Karron Cousins 94
OL: Javon Jackson (97), Trae Harris (94), Ron Brown (94), Patrick Boma (95), Julian Davis (96)
DL: Xavier Cox (96), Jared Allen (97), Quincy Simms (97), Alain Dixon (95)
LB: Keith Rivers (94), Patrick Willis (95), Dexter Knox (90)
DB: Juran Riley (95), Jacob Boyd (92), Justin Bowers (94), JJ Collins (93)

That is 11 first round picks, 9 in the top ten. Im going for my first superbowl but simming through last year without mack, simms, boyd, or bowers and alot of rookies i went 13-3 and Reno won MVP so i think 19-0 simming isnt out of the question.

Re: How's Your Career Doing?

- I am currently in the process of running a Dolphins Franchise (I have decided to restrict myself, with occasional input, to exclusively handling the coaching and letting the GM (Gil Darnell A.K.A. Bill Parcells) handle the drafting/rookie contracts/free-agent signing/trading).

- Started in the Pre-Season with the pre-assigned playbook for both offense and defense.

- I encouraged Gil Darnell to go after several key free agents that would help strengthen the Offensive Line, Defensive Line, Defensive Backs, and Special Teams. Here is a list of the following Free Agents, their positions and overall ratings:

- Zach Piller (G) (82), Fred Miller (T) (80), Grady Jackson (DT) (80), Ty Law (CB) (82), Scott Player (P) (88).

- Gil Darnell was unable to negotiate a rookie contract with C. Henne (QB). Consequently he missed training camp and our 1st Pre-Season game.

-Despite not signing C. Henne, throughout Training Camp I am focusing on increasing the Play Knowledge of my Offensive Line by focusing on running various plays for my Offense.

-Attempted to meet a Pre-Season Goal by trading for D. Clark (TE). However, after delegating this task to Gil Darnell, the trade was put on ice due to a steep asking price from the Bears.

- After the first series of cuts, decided to bolster the Line backing Core by adding Trev Faulk (LB) (78). I also added the following Free Agents:

- In our first pre-season game we were overmatched as we faced a strong Buccaneers Team. However, what bothered me is that despite the myriad of time spent on Offensive preparation, we were unable to score a single point (Major Disappointment: J. Beck (QB), my starting QB, had an abysmal QB Rating of 11)

- Needless to say, after the first Pre-Season Game, changes were in order:

- The greatest change occurred when a couple days afterwards, after coming to terms with C. Henne (QB), we immediately promoted him to starting QB.

- Secondly, in dire need of a TE it was soon brought to my attention that the Tennessee Titans were interested in trading for Z. Piller (G). After delegating this task to Gil Darnell, myself and the Owner were ecstatic to see that he had traded Z. Piller to the Titans for B. Scaife (TE) (70) and a 5th Round Draft Pick.

- Lastly, I am in the process of creating explosive offensive plays geared towards the Wildcat Formation. Hopefully, this will help in putting points on the board.
