YEP that is EXACTLY why I made the preseaosn promise different..

I have several succesful 'chises..
combine that with everyone's reports about the 49ers being easy/superbowl winners/etc

I fully expected to have a succesful season..

what the bloody hell is going on in my franchise then?! i'm sturggling like *I* can't believe and the only thing i can think of is that..

ive been wondering, how big of an approval hit do you take if you dont fulfill your promise. i promised to finish above .500 with the bears and its looking like that might be tough after 3 games. my goal is to finish with at least 30 approval rating, and right now im at 25 with a 1-2 record.

i said i would make the playoffs in my first year. i had some nice pick ups in FA for the Chiefs.. and my draft was pretty darn good too. currently 7-1

i realized why i am struggling on my 49ers franchise

it's because i delegate/dismiss playcalling duties on gameday

....and my defensive coordinator is a freaking 1/5 out of PLAYCALLING skill

When you choose which promise it says how much of an approval hit/bump you will take. I'm not sure if you can see this in the season goals clipboard option.

I think those numbers are how much of a hit/bump you will take just based on what you say to the owner...which I believe is different than how much of one you take for actually completing/failing the goal.

Like on a defining moment when you say you'll go for it and your approval goes up by say 5, then you don't convert on 4th down and it comes down by say 8.
