Re: 2007 Jets

Wow, Clemens looked awful tonight. Tripped 3 times dropping back and was off with a lot of his throws. At least Favre and the 1st team looked good though. Wallace Wright looked really good on special teams running down kicks and punts.

Also looks like Favre might only be the Jets second biggest acquisition this offseason. They've got Jenn Sterger as the "pregame host". I think she received the second biggest ovation behind Favre.

Especially in this offense, Keller has the 'potential' to be OROY. His blocking is suspect, but this kid has size, agility and hands. I am ESTATIC!

Re: 2007 Jets

Defense looked really good last night. 8 total sacks and Calvin Pace looked very impressive. I still want to see more out of Gholston though.

Favre and Clemens both looked good throwing the ball, but the running game was terrible. Also, WTF was with all of those penalties. They must have had at least 3 or 4 illegal formations, including the one that negated that nice TD from Favre to Cotchery.

OK, for some reason they decided to cut Jesse Chatman. Other notable cuts were Chatham, Caulcrick, and Poteat. I'm still puzzled as to why Chatman is gone though, it only gives us 2 RB's and Chatman would have probably been a good threat to use near the goaline.

And how is Ahmad Carroll still on the team?!?!

Re: 2007 Jets

Alright that last report was bogus.

Here's the full list via the Jets site.

RB — Jehuu Caulcrick
TE — Jason Pociask, A.J. Schable
WR — David Ball, Larry Brackins, Paul Raymond
OL — Jacob Bender, Stanley Daniels, Kyle DeVan, Nate Garner, Matt McChesney
DL — Thomas Johnson, Bryan Mattison, Ropati Pitoitua
LB — Matt Chatham, Blair Phillips, Brandon Renkart
DB — Hank Poteat, Rudy Burgess, James Ihedigbo

So much for them developing Bender into an OT.

Also Jesse Chatman is still on the team, but has been suspended 4 games by the league for violating the steroid/substance abuse policy.

DUDE

You just scared the crap outta me with Chatman. Thomas Jones is a bum. Not sure why they keep sticking with him.
