With Bell being franchise tagged again, I think he is gone next year. Granted they can work out a deal between now and July and make me look like an idiot, but it doesn't feel good to me.

He's saying he wants to play in Pittsburgh for his entire career according to one story I saw, yet he's acting like a selfish entitled brat who only cares about money just like so many other athletes. These guys are making more money in 1 year than most of us will see in a lifetime and they still want more.

When you consider that he touches the ball 4x more per game than AB, I can understand him wanting at least as much money ($17M) as AB gets. Not saying I condone it or would condone that kind of money for Bell but at least I get it.

I hope they can work it out but this whole thing has, admittedly, put a stain on how I view Bell.

If Bell does leave next year, who takes over the reigns? I like Conner, but he is unproven, Samuels is a rookie, I'd imagine they look at the draft.

I think Samuels is more of a receiver than a runner.

There's no good answer. No one can replace Bell but I whomever it would be is someone not on their roster now, imo.

Re: The Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread

Reports say that Bell turned down 5 years, 70 million with 33 million in guarantees and 45 million coming in the first 3 years.
