Re: Battlefield 3

any tips for sniping? best I can do sniping is maybe 3 kills and 20+ deaths. Most my recon points come from using shotgun.

Re: Battlefield 3

There's nothing to it really. For long range, make sure you aim above the target to compensate for bullet drop. Short to mid range you just have to be on point. I'm awful at sniping in battlefield, so I just swap out the sniper for either a PDW, shotgun, or the SKS(still a sniper, but it works real well from short to mid range. I don't care about guys far away, they aren't a threat).

Also, swapping out your long range weapon for something that allows you to be on the front lines, you have the advantage of helping out your team with motion sensors and spawn beacons around the objectives.

You can use the MAV as a motion sensor, and setting up the spawn beacon near an objective then moving to a good sniping position works for me and how I play. Personally I like to be able to cover multiple objectives with the sniper from a good distance and spotting the ones I can't get a shot on.
Also, counter sniping as well.

Re: Battlefield 3

Sniping is only deadly on 'Hardcore' -- you have to be very skilled to do it on Regular mode. Hard getting that second shot off.

I use the spawn beacons and love using the SOFLAM ... You set it down and then get as far away as you want and you can spot jets/tanks/anything really. Its a great weapon.

@Koolie, it was good playing with you man. Enjoyed the game and having you in our clan. Those three and a couple others are usually who I tag around with. You should def join us more often. It was a blast.
