Re: Battlefield 3

Hey Everyone, brand new BF3 player here (yeah, a little late to the party lol)

Playing on xbox 360 and...I suck lol. Having to adjust to this after a Mw3 session this past weekend (beat it on veteran finally)

Trying to build everything up only at level 4 right now as well. I'm really hating the first weapons they give you lol.

The first weapons are actually some of the better weapons. M4a1 is a great engineer gun as is the aks74u. The m16 is probably the most popular assault class gun. The Russian weapon, ak74 is a great gun as well. I cannot make much comments about the other 2 classes as I don't really play as them.

Re: Battlefield 3

I just cant get a comfortable feeling on the Ak. The M16 I can work with but it seems that I just cant get that feel I want out of the AK.

Now, If I could just figure out how to get myself better off in the multi player I would be alright. Seems like I die....alot

First and foremost, you just need to keep playing to improve as a player. Experience is key to getting better at just about anything you do. You can always search up some YouTube tip videos and learn the ways of battlefield. I'd suggest looking up mrprincefire on YouTube, he's a friend of mine and he posts gameplay videos very frequently. I know he has made 2 videos on tips and tricks to playing support and recon. He may have made an engineer one too, but I'm not so sure. One thing you will notice is that he PTFO (Plays the f'ing objective) which is the key thing to learn when coming from call of duty. He's a very good player with 950+SPM and 2.7 k/d. He posts a ton of gameplay videos so you can observe how he moves around the battlefield to avoid deaths.

Re: Battlefield 3

Yeah, don't get caught up in KDR. If you're playing the objective and being a good team mate, you will usually be in a good position and come out with a positive KDR, without even trying.

Seems like that's all you hear on COD. People constantly trashing other players because they don't have a bunch of kills. I think the Battlefield community is a little more accepting of those who are either new to the game or aren't as good, because there will always be someone out there who is better than you. If someone is on my team, I'm more concerned with them helping the team and being a good team mate, rather than how many people they are killing.

As far as dying a lot, be sure to try to stay in or near cover.. try burst firing your guns, rather than just laying down on the trigger and stick with your squad mates. There are some guys on here that play the 360 version, so I'm sure you could find some guys to squad up with.

I dont know about that Chase.

When I started playing alongside you guys, I would still come out negative in matches. Maybe I was just that bad to start. Lol

You just have to stay behind everyone else and let them take the bullets

Tried that strategy early on. It was then I learned an important lessen. Bullets can actually go thru you.
