If they have some sort of delay or at least a huge accuracy penalty for shooting your LMG right when you belly flop that would be fine. If people wanna go prone and crawl around fine, but just no friggin diving please.

Re: Battlefield 3

It's official. Starcraft 2 almost made me do it. It's time to build myself a new, competent computer. I can't do a real Battlefield with 24 players and this must be bought day one.

Perhaps this "Lifelike Animations" news could have something to do with going prone, jumping, and the like?

I'd think for lifelike animations would translate to going prone slower and getting up from prone slower.

Yah. I really hope they make it really difficult to fly them this time around. Or something to counter balance the fact that in some maps I could never respawn in my home base because guys would just circle with the Apache and just kill everyone that spawned. I always back out if that gets out of contol.

yep the destrution is a huge amount of info that needs to be calculated by not only the machine processing it but also sent online and updated exactly on every player's machine as if it is tracking another body in motion on the ground. so each destructible piece counts nearly as much as a player count.

so yea big difference why other games can do more, hell even Homefront has 32 on console but no destruction but the graphic engine on BF3 sounds to be way more intense and cutting edge than what most online shooters use. Rumor is there may be a 32 player mode with no destruction in BF3.

this game with the new deferred lighting engine, the EA sports animation and the Destruction 3.0 is going to be a beautiful piece of art and a whole lot of fun.

I feel like it was done to appease the Computer users for this game I do remember them pretty much saying it would be the best version. Do controller pads work for games like this? I get the feeling they don't on PC.
