Re: Metro Redux

Ordered it from GameFly, should be here next week. So close to buying it. I may end up keeping it if I enjoy the gameplay.

Almost bought this so many times on the 360 but could never pull the trigger.

Definitely grabbing this Tuesday along with Madden.

Between TLOU, the show, m15, watch dogs, first light, and ea ufc I'm not sure when I will have time but I picked this up today and played about 30 minutes. Liked what I saw, looks good and plays great on ps4

Re: Metro Redux

I will buy this during a slow period.

Destiny is on the horizon with the October/November Rush upcoming. I just can't at this juncture.

Re: Metro Redux

I gotta say...

3 chapters in (to 2033) and I'm really impressed. Haven't been this captivated by a FPS since Bioshock: Infinite.

There's a good ratio of plot/combat/stealth here. Along with some mysteriousness too!

Exploring the semi-open outside environments are exhilarating. I'm playing on normal/survival and knowing that I NEED to check every nook and cranny for materials, while not knowing WHAT'S lurking around me, provides a wonderful sense of tension and fear.

The stealth sections are a little tough to get through undetected. I actually have to do some research to see if it's possible to clear these parts unnoticed. But what is there, even though I generally only only get about half way through before getting spotted, is fun and rewarding.

The monsters also seem to take an absurd amount of shots to put down. Fortunately, I discovered last night that at least in the early sections, you can stealth kill some of them so that definitely helps.

I hoping to find a silenced weapon soon. That or some more throwing knives as some sections just seem to be inundated with things that need to die. Some long distance silent options would go a long way in helping me.

So far, I'm really really impressed with how much I'm enjoying this game. If anyone has any tips to share, especially regarding stealth and long range stealth weapons, I'd be eager to read them.

Re: Metro Redux

What's the difference between the two digital downloads. One is like 24 the other 50$?

I have the physical version, but if I recall correctly, you can buy each game individually for $25 each on the PSN.

So I'd expect $25 to get you one game and $50 to get you both.
