re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)

I'm curious to see where the series goes. BF2 was amazing. Bad Company was good, BC2 along with the Vietnam expansion were two of my favorite games of all time. BF3 was good, not great. BF4 was just meh for me and didn't capture the Battlefield feel that I was used to. It felt like I was playing a mod of BF2 that tried to implement Call of Duty's gameplay into the game and there is a reason I don't play CoD.

I'm hoping this game goes back to its roots and doesn't follow the same trend BF3 and BF4 did by trying to draw in the casual crowd with the ridiculously fast paced gameplay, but I'm sure it will. I'll still keep an eye on this reveal though. I wish a Bad Company 3 would be announced and they could continue that series as well. The slower gameplay pacing was perfect in BC2.

After my PS3 retirement You, Koolie, TMagic, KT, Dan, myself, etc. were forming one squad wrecking crews on BF3 so don't go off being too negative nuni

I sound like an old man reminiscing about the past, but I really do miss those days... even TMagic dealing with me playing CQD drunk with only C4 and the MP412 REX.

Hopefully we get some news soon that details a trip to the past with WW1/2 or even Vietnam like Cusefan mentioned. That was a pretty solid expansion.

Take it for what it's worth (not much).

I believe some info has been leaked already on reddit & gaf. Appears to be in Russia and WWI, a few images & whatnot. Nothing confirmed though, just speculation. Some crap sites I've never heard of are running with it tho.

I will have to see how I enjoy that...but I really liked the modern feel of BF4

re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)

I would like it to go back to wwII or Vietnam but for what I have read and the docs that have been published looks to be setup in the future in a war vs Russia that would be a let down for me.

I agree. Though any Battlefield not named hard line is going to get hundreds of hours out of me.

re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)

If it's set in the future I'm out want nothing to do with futuristic. If I want to play sci-fi there are franchises already dedicated to that. I want WWII but would still be happy with a WW1 or vietnam game.
