Woah there, buddy. Have you even played Amazing Spider-Man 2?

If you quote this instead of just replying, please know that I'm joking and AS2 is the most repetitive game I've ever invested time in.

Agreed, if anyone can do it then it will be Rockstar.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

The size and depth of Witcher 3 was alarming. It was so overwhelming I never want to give that game a second play-through.

Do you guys think Rockstar will go to that length? It'd be, what, 4-5x larger than GTA V's map? I don't doubt the immersion in RDR2 will be outstanding, even if it's a significantly smaller map than Witcher 3.

There's already a leaked map that GTA Forums is confirming to likely be the real one based on locations from the trailer with the old leak. It's not going to be that massive. Bigger than RDR though.

On another note, I finally learned of the two-year-old game The Crew and was overwhelmed by how massive they made it. Granted, you can't get out of your car so the interactivity is placed very low (as is the case for TASM 2 since most buildings are just there to be there so density is a problem there), but at least Rockstar can likely promise that every square inch of the RDR 2 map used will be carefully plotted out and placed. That's what I loved about RDR so much.

Would I prefer a massive map over a smaller map? As long as they can maintain the quality. Once it dips for quantity's sake, I certainly wouldn't. So hopefully they're squeezing every bit that they can out of it.

Having said all of this, that leaked map may be fake, or even if it was real at one time then Rockstar could have undergone massive changes to it as a reaction to the leak itself. Nevertheless, there are some things about that map I really like, but won't state for spoiler reasons.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

Just make it jam packed with things to do and I'm happy. Banks, stagecoaches, trains, caravans, gold miners give me things to rob and pillage. Hunting/fishing/poker/wanted posters/let me paint a town red and call it hell. Take every obscure thing from 60 years of epic westerns, oh man the sky is the limit.

I am on my 3rd playthrough of The Witcher and I lost track of how many times I played through RDR. Considering I just got it again for Xbox 1, I imagine I will get one more in. If it is even half of what the first was, honestly I expect it to be 3x the game, then I will have no problem playing it again and again.

Amen, brother

I think every game could learn a lesson or two from Witcher 3
